Me and my husband came here for dinner and it was very good and flavorful. Our waitress was awesome she was very friendly and knowledgeable. Next time we in Sacramento we will definitely go back and visit.
Great meal. Food was great overall as was the service.. The table ordered Mac n'Cheese as an app, it was amazing. We also ordered beignets which were good, but not a must order. I like that they came with fruit and a mango jam which was great. The table ordered a burger and a BLT which were both excellent, another person ordered the shrimp and grits which were fine. We also enjoyed the drinks. Overall it was a great brunch.
Loved this restaurant! The grilled brie appetizer was fabulous! I had the gumbo and it was legit. Huge portions and spiced appropriately with a heat that is not overpowering but has a nice build to it as you eat the dish. My friend who is still a child at heart decided on beignets for her dinner entree amd she was not disappointed! Recommend this place!
What a gem. Service was fantastic! Our server was so genuine and helpful and truly made our party of 6 feel so welcome, like he was actually happy we were there. The Dirty Rice... no words. The baked Brie. Please stop. So good. All of us LOVED our meals. When our server overheard we were there for a birthday he brought out a birthday brownie. So thoughtful. This was my first time but def not my last. Thank you for a WONDERFUL dinner and evening.
Had a great time, the food was awesome and my wife & I had a great time. Our server was Nick he was really chill and helpful. The food was bomb we had the Po boy & Jambalaya with Catfish.
My first time at this restaurant. I made a reservation because it's not far from the Capitol and I was afraid it would be busy. I was surprised to walk into a nearly empty place! I was concerned but that soon subsided by the great service, good food, and perfect place to take a colleague for lunch. It was casual but lovely. We had the fantastic beignets. We each took two home, and the server gave us a small cup of the preserves in our to-go box to take with us. Overall a great experience and I'll be back.
Very noisy in the restaurant but I sat on the porch. Brunch was good but it took a very long time, not sure if this is typical for this restaurant. We had to eat quickly to make it to our show on time.
YUMMY! worth every calorie (and there was a lot of those). Finally, a restaurant in Sacramento that knows how to me eggs benedict.
We went there to meet friends for brunch. The noise level was beyond “energetic” (no idea what the app uses that word instead of “loud.” Everything else was fine, but the noise level made it an uncomfortable meal.
Great food and cocktails. Staff was attentive and knowledgeable about menu.

Great brunch and great service! Sat alone on the porch on a cool morning. Couldn’t have planned it better!
Went here for Mother's Day this year. My husband liked his biscuits and gravy with eggs. Two of us ordered the biscuit sandwich with bacon and were very disappointed. Food was cold, biscuit was too crumbly so you couldn't eat it as a sandwich, and there weren't many eggs or that much cheese on it. Bacon was tasty but cold. It was also advertised as including 'potatoes' but it came with only one boiled potato that was bland. Virgin Bloody Mary's were overly spicy. Overall I know it was a busy day for the restaurant- the wait and service wasn't an issue, but we were disappointed with the quality and temperature of the food.
The food was delicious! We tried the Brie appetizer (outstanding!) and the shrimp Po Boy Sandwich which was perfect!
An enjoyable part of the dining experience can be conversation with the waitperson. Today, how ever, there was much too much chatter. Please, just take the orders, answer questions, and be done. As always, the food was excellent. The mojito wasn't up to your usual drink standard. Where was the rum?
We went to The Porch for Easter brunch with a group of 8. I was only able to reserve a table for 6 through Open Table. When I called to add 2 more to the reservation, they were very polite and accommodating. The manager called me back a few days before Easter to confirm my reservation, number of party and whether I preferred indoors or out. I requested indoors and he made it happen. Because of the size of my party and being the biggest brunch day of the year, he asked if I would be willing to move the time out by a half an hour just to be sure a large table would be available. I said no problem and he offered complimentary appetizers for my being flexible. When we got there, our table was ready, service was wonderful and friendly. They delivered on the appetizers without us having to remind them. We all ordered different items from the brunch menu. All the food and drinks were delicious. Despite being as busy as they were, service was excellent. I would definitely recommend The Porch to anyone looking for a good brunch spot in Sacramento.
