I just left tori restaurant and I will give thanks to God 1st cause he is king of all kings and next I will give thanks to TORI AND HER TEAM for an amazing experience at her establishment. I was filled with nostalgic feelings in the dinning area as it reminds me of backyard gatherings and cook outs at my grandparents house. The energy and atmosphere was exactly home away from home! Great food! I heard about Tori's on Youtube by influencer Darius. In addition to her good cooking. Ms. Tori was a beautiful, kind person. And, her staff matched her energy. My dad took the train down from Oakland to take us to lunch. It was 4 of us. My dad, my uncle, my sister and I. Everything was a 5 except for the heat. It was 103* on the day that we went.
I've heard great things about this place, and it did not disappoint. I tried staying away from a familiar entree, so I went with the Red Snapper, and definitely can't go without man 'n cheese. The gumbo was also great over rice! I don't eat cornbread that often, but I found it interesting and cute that it was in the shape of a pancake, a little greasy, but that's what makes it good, right? Be advised, they do not have a public restroom.
