I purchase a small cup of fruit and not only was it $10.00, which is criminal in this economy. The girl refused to call her manager so I could get a refund. There was nothing in the store except junk food and other foods like parfaits or charcuterie packages. I wasn’t about to buy another food item that could also be expired. At the end I walked out with some superfood smoothie pouch that my kids didn’t like. Thanks Angelique 👍 a child ate expired food thanks to you

We love visiting Vino Volo in terminal A at the Sacramento Airport. The food is better quality than any fast food nearby and who doesn't love a glass of wine before flying. You can enjoy wine flights or by the glass. The price is worth it, good atmosphere, good service and good wine/food, what more can you ask for while at the airport.

Vino Volo is a wine bar that’s located next to gate A1 in Terminal A.
The main reason for me to go to Vino Volo is to try their flights of wine - the list is usually divided between those picked by the corporate office and those picked by the store manager. The ones chosen by the manager are usually more interesting as they tend to highlight local wines. They serve some broadly distributed wines (e.g. Laurent-Perrier champagne, Markham merlot, etc), but they usually have some small production gems on the list as well - right now, they are offering a riesling from Brooks Winery from Oregon that is pretty hard to find (1000 cases produced).
What I like about Vino Volo is that if you want to chat with people, you can do so at the bar. If not, there are plenty of tables and also a sofa where you can sit quietly and drink a glass of wine. Overall, it’s pretty laid back, so it’s a fun place to try different wines while you are waiting for your flight.
As for the food, I’ve found that it’s better to keep to the simpler dishes. I usually get the Butcher’s Board (charcuterie plate) which always goes well with wine, but is way too much for one person. Somehow, I always seem to manage to finish it though… Salads aren’t bad either.
They sell wines by the bottle as well. If you are with a group and trying to save some money, you can buy a bottle and drink it in the terminal - this apparently started during Covid and is still ok to do. It’s a lot more cost-effective but you will all be drinking the same wine and out of plastic cups though…
Lastly, I would recommend that you download their app and become a “member” - you get some perks including the option to get a taste of special wine (McCrostie Sonoma Coast Chard this time) for $2. As you accrue points, you get more benefits that you can use at any Vino Volo around the country. Just don’t forget to scan the barcode on the receipt to register your points.
The only downside to Vino Volo is that it is sometimes understaffed. I’ve been there when there is only one employee…which means, they have to pour the wine, wait/bus tables, make the food in the back, etc. As you can imagine, service can be a bit slow during those times - take that into account if you don’t have much time before your flight (e.g. cash out right away, order simple dishes, etc).

Arugula and Beet Salad is the bomb!!! So delicious and just right for me! I had the Big Reds and tasted all three! Not a fan of Pinot but the two reds are excellent… took note of my fav☺️ ! Staff are friendly and fast!

The server had little info about the wine and told me it was “against policy” to pour a taste. That they didn’t give away “free wine”. He had all the enthusiasm of a wet blanket and told me that I was out of line for asking for a taste before ordering a bottle of a glass he was offering by the glass. Such a disappointment in terms of service. Vino Volo raised the bar of airport wine. I’m sorry this person lowered the standard. The worst VV experience in 10 years.

It's a nice place and the people are friendly. The mimosas are overpriced but they pack a punch! I felt good going on the airplane.

Sue and Chris were responsive, friendly and warm, very inviting. My food was amazing and the wines were fabulous. I highly recommend coming here before your flight to relax. ?????
This was a cute little spot for a bite and a glass of wine at Sacramento Airport. I came in around 7pm on a Wednesday evening, waiting for and 8:30 flight. Basically had the place to myself. Had the burrata which was quite good and a glass of sangiovese. Had a great table to myself and quick service. Wine selection is very good and staff are attentive and helpful.
Overcharged 600 dollars on the four items I bought :/
Expensive but tasty.
We liked this place the last time we came, but today we felt rushed. The bar server was running around and our pizza was not fully cooked. Not good today.
