TLDR - One star for the service we received and last minute communication regarding spending minimum for a party of 13. We ended up going to the Firehouse who took great care of us and we had a great time.
When we made the reservation, we were informed if the party is over 10, we have to choose from a pre-fix menu. Considering people changing plans and last minute cancellations, we made a reservation of 10 just to be safe and flexible. A few friends ended up showing up so our party was 13. We sat there for 1.5 hours waiting for drinks to show up, and then were told on the spot that there will be a $1300 minimum ($100 pp) which DOES NOT INCLUDE DRINKS and of course before tax and tips. The general manager showed up and basically told us either we spend the money or we leave. They made it sound like we were communicated this "restaurant policy" beforehand which is absolutely not true.
So we left. Went to the Firehouse instead and they were so nice and took such good care of us.
Also, the host guy at V's did not smile at all from the very second we walked in and was just cold and did not seem like he wanted to be there or have anything to do with us. So odd. Our server was nice enough and obviously felt embarrassed for the situation and how we were treated.
Drinks were okay - we had V's paradise, D's passion, and raspberry lemon drop among other things, and they were better than dive bars, but I wouldn't say they are amazing.
All in all I probably wouldn't return - having spending minimum is fine but the way we were treated was so far away from hospitality, and I personally couldn't tolerate this kind of business practice where all they care about is money. Be aware!

This place is poppin!, they have music, shows, etc on weekends. Theres always a party here, the staff and owner V are amazing and accommodating. Food is superb, they have a Michelin star chef, everything was cooked to perfection and food was a work of art.

The pros: Nice restaurant, friendly staff.
Cons: Very loud. We were sat directly in front of their saxophone player and I couldn’t hear my husband all night. Can’t rate the food because we’ve been here for an hour and still haven’t received our food. We may give it one more chance if we can come earlier, not get sat by the door (it was left open constantly making it super cold) and not sat directly in front of the saxophone player.

This restaurant is a hidden gem and a true five-star experience. The stunning, Instagram-worthy atmosphere shows great attention to detail, and the owner, V, personally ensures guests feel welcomed. I LOVE THAT!!! The staff is friendly and attentive, and the expertly crafted cocktails (the house liquor is actually premium spirits) its worth the visit. this place offers upscale ambiance, impeccable service, and an unforgettable experience. I can’t wait to return!

This place was incredible, the service from the moment that you walk in was unmatched. Fardin, the host, greeted me right away and made me feel very welcoming. I informed him that I wanted to sit at the bar and he walked me to an open seat and introduced me to my bartender Allie. Allie welcomed me right away and provided me with a glass of water and asked me what I would like to drink right away. The food was delicious. I just got a small snack of a salad with steak in which it was cooked perfectly to temperature. The best part was the saxophone player. The range that he has is amazing. Not only was he playing modern music, but oldies and classical as well. It really elevated the dinning experience. I definitely recommend this place and will be coming back.
Parking: Due to the location, being old sac, parking can be a bit of a hassle and if you choose to park in the parking garage there may be a slight walk. But, that walk can be very enjoyable depending on the weather.

Bad experience with service
We had seen several advertisements thru IM so perhaps had too much build up. No dancing, the cocktail images are only for one very specific 4 person cocktail. The Wagyu Short Ribs was good and obviously very popular by looks of the other posts. My filet was average, the warm brie was average, the ganache was average.
Our server was attentive and friendly but our food handler moved a bit awkwardly and did not inform us the scalding plate for the brie. OUCH!
IDK, having eaten at many restaurants advertising themselves and priced as fine dining this one misses the mark. The service was inconsistent. My home BBQ filet is better.
The atmosphere was good but the stained glass woman seems completely forced and does not go with the entirety of the restaurant. They only opened half the restaurant during our visit and the seat directly by the door and reception... always a bad choice.
I am confident Sacramento has no top caliber restaurants.

Party of 3. The service was great, but we asked for our steaks to be cooked 3 different ways and they mixed all 3 up. Regardless, the food tasted good. My friends said the puréed potatoes were amazing, but it just didn’t live up to the hype. Still a nice place to eat if you got some extra money to spend

We visited “V’s” for lunch with my wife for the first time.
The food was delicious, and the prices were reasonable. The ambiance was incredibly beautiful. We're eager to return for dinner. Our waitress, Marina, was lovely and provided excellent service.

I’m giving V’s Paradise a 1 star overall for many reasons. I made reservations to celebrate my wife and I, 7-year wedding anniversary. The table style I requested during my rsvp booking was not granted so we were given a smaller table and had to place our belongings to the side making it hard to enjoy our drinks and food together because of tightness. The music was extremely loud, we could barely hear each other talk and the music selection was never consistent. I believe this place is overpriced compared to other really fine dining in the Sac area. The V’s carousel drinks are overpriced and out of the 4 drinks from it only 2 tasted good. Their version of a charcuterie board was not refreshing, most of the grapes were soft and soggy. Two positive things about this experience was the tomahawk dish was cooked perfect & our waitress ‘Lacey’ was awesome! If it wasn’t for our awesome waitress Lacey, I probably would’ve left early honestly. If you want a romantic dinner setting, I highly suggest going to other places downtown instead. This review may be blunt, but for premium pricing, the value here was missing a lot. I won’t be coming back or recommending V’s Paradise to anyone.

Such a fun and unique dining experience.
We came on a Saturday night, they had entertainment, and a dj.
Food was delicious, some of the best I’ve had in a long time.
I had wagyu which was made to perfection, tried a few sides, my wife had the filet mignon and he said it was delicious as well.
Amazing service and atmosphere!
Will definitely be back.

Best part of the night was our server, absolutely great guy and fun to engage with. The food was passable, not at all bad, but absolutely 30-40% overpriced compared to similar entrees at places like Sutter Street Steakhouse or Hawks, and not as good. The wine menu is awesome, but probably not for anyone looking to spend less than $200-300 on a bottle

The first time I came here it was for my birthday with my girl! We had an amazing experience! V showed me so much love by giving me a Smokey presentation! What a show!!! I’ve been back twice since then. Tonight I brought in my mother and of course the food was top tier! I love it because it’s different but seasoned to perfection!! Thank you V for always showing me love when I come in!!!
