“I had my wife pick out a place to stop for breakfast on the way to Reno for the weekend, and Cricket Country Kitchen was what she came up with. No regrets! All the servers were super friendly. The menu states that the chicken fried steak is the best in the city. Lots of places claim this, so of course we had to give it a try.....and I have to say, it was probably the best one I've ever had. The gravy was on point, but the meat itself was just so tender and flavorful, and breaded perfectly. Pricing was great as well. We've definitely found a great breakfast option any time we're on the road.“

“I eat at Huckleberry’s at least twice a month, today however my experience was not good to the point that I did not leave a tip and feel terrible about that. I went in around noon on Sunday, I knew it would be busy. I signed in for one and was told it would be a 10 minute wait. I sat there roughly 10 minutes. Two ladies came in signed in. Apparently they knew one of the waitress and were seated a few minutes later even though I was there before them. A waiter then approached the hostess and pointed at the clipboard, the hostess told him she was not going to seat one person in a booth. So I approached the hostess that initially signed me in and inquired why the two ladies were given a booth even though I was there before them, she didn’t know and looked for the waitress who sat them. The waitress proceeded to move them to a bigger booth to seat me. I was very disappointed. I realize it was not right to leave a tip but customers should not be given preferential treatment.“

“Druthers is always a great place for coffee and waffles! They are expanding their offerings in a week or so to include more sandwiches and other things that folks enjoy. The owners of this business are an outstanding couple with great knowledge of the culinary business in Sacramento“

“The best chai that I have ever had, and it's made in house. My favorite morning ritual is to walk down to The Mill and get a chai and a waffle to eat on the walk back home. In a city with an over-abundence of coffee shops, The Mill is easily my favorite and I pine for it when I am out of town.“

“It was my first time coming to Kiki's and I was impressed! The chicken sandwich was huge and delicious with 2 pieces of chicken breast on it and the Kiki's chicken fries were delicious!!! There was a lot more good than I could finish in one sitting so I had to get a to-go box. The service was fast and friendly and I will definitely be coming back to try some of their other dishes“

“I WILL NOT EVEN LIE TO YA !!!! I was truly bawling on a budget this particular day, and all I got or could afford was a six piece bone in wings….. And it was SMACKIN !!! The only thing is they need to put a little sprinkle of salt…. In which I added my own, but other than that two thumbs up on that chicken, I can’t speak for nothing else, but that six piece chicken. Lol“
