I very rarely post reviews but I tried to send an email to this restaurant after the owner told me on the phone today that they will no longer deliver but it appears they do not have an email address for the public so this is my only means of voicing my dissatisfaction. I rate food at 5 stars as they have incredible food but one cannot get it unless they go to the store nowadays or drive there to pick it up. NO MORE DELIVERY from them!

I have been getting pizza delivered from this restaurant for 30 years. Literally as long as they have been open.
However, I was told today, they are no longer using their delivery driver and outsourcing to DoorDash. This is not acceptable as DoorDash does not handle Pizza's well. I use DoorDash for many things but pizza is the one item they do not handle well because it needs to be straight to customer to be fresh and DoorDash does not do that. Wenelli's pizza is high quality so putting it in a dasher car where it will sit and die is not something I am willing to do. I am always willing to pay $50 for a large pizza from Wenelli's (with tip and of course a side of ranch dressing as Wenelli's has incredible ranch they make in house) but not when they are going to not take the time to make sure it is delivered with the same care that they have when they make the pizza.
This is a sad day where they are no longer willing to have their delivery driver bring customers their pizza. The driver is a great guy and I believe him to be the son of the owner. I guess he has now been outsourced. This will mark the end of my being a customer at this restaurant after 30 years unless they go back to using their own delivery drivers. I will make sure to share with all I know they should not order Wenelli's anymore since they are outsourcing delivery to DoorDash.
Thankfully, mountain mikes still uses their own delivery driver and so does domino's. Very sad when I would rather get domino's than Wenelli's, if they are using doordash. Is what it is! This is a very disappointed Customer for 30 years! I hope you re-consider this decision! If you do, I will be happy to return to your incredible pizzas.

Found this fantastic place recomended from a friend who grew up on this pizza. OMG..I Found my new generational family owned pizza spot.! The Crust! Sauce, ingredients. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. Sorry didnt take pics...next visit...

We are now living in NJ.. We raised our family on Wenelli's during our family's soccer years. You would think that our living in Italian strong NJ would mean Wenellis has been replaced in our hearts and tummies, but NO ... oh how we miss the breadsticks and ranch sauce!!! Sacramento, you have GREAT in Wenelli's!

For being a long time run pizzeria when we ordered a pepperoni and mushroom pizza what they sent us was a salami and mushroom pizza and claimed that was pepperoni

Waited over an hr just to bring home the wrong pizza. We ordered a pizza that came with white sauce and when we got home it had red sauce on it. My daughter and I can't have the red sauce and we already had waited so long we just ate something else. Won't ever go there again
I love this place! Such a staple in the area. The pizza is always tasty and fresh and the staff are always super nice. And they go crazy on the toppings for you! It's the best!

Out on this side of Sactown with my old pal'et Felter Upgood, she's in the design process of setting up her booth at Cal Expo, where she'll be selling her services...as an Extractor. No, I didn't ask her what that entails, because she's been known to twist things around and make them seem perfectly fine. The engineer and build team that's doing the booth with it's hidden door to the secret pleasuretorium is just a few doors away from Wenelli's Pizza, Felter says they have a great pizza, but the salads are Amazing! She was right. 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆

They never have a delivery person. 3rd strike your out. FYI most pizza places deliver and evertime I call your place after 5 there is no one that can deliver. Get it together.
