If I could go just for banchan and rice 5/5 stars! Entrees were good, tasty but have had more authentic. Bibimbap was served in a hot pot and way too hot to enjoy, plus it started to burn rice and veggies once mixed.

Our whole family loves to dine at this restaurant and we often bring friends here for dinner. Today, as usual, we brought our relatives from abroad to dine here. Everything was wonderful, with delicious food and a joyful atmosphere. Unfortunately, when we were halfway through the meal, I noticed that it was like a light rain falling from the air above the dishes. I didn't take it seriously at first, but it kept falling at irregular intervals. I carefully looked for the source and found that it was from the air conditioner on the ceiling. We don’t know how much of the dust that falls from the wind outlet has already been ingested into our stomachs? The store probably has never cleaned the air outlet of the air conditioner, right? There is so much dust that it looks like dust rain. It must have been accumulating for a very long time! It was really disgusting and I wanted to vomit🤮... I told the waiter and showed her the video of the dust and crumbs falling. She said sorry softly and then asked us if we wanted to move to another seat to continue eating? This is too much, who would want to continue eating rice with dust? I didn’t want to eat dishes mixed with dust at all. I had no appetite and felt like vomiting. I replied that I didn’t want to eat anymore, but the waiter asked us if we wanted to take the food away. Oh my god! I don't want to stay here any longer. I am very disappointed with the standard of the restaurant, after all, this is our favorite Korean restaurant. By the way, they have another branch. We went there not long after it opened. One of the dishes was sweet and sour chicken. We only took a few pieces of the chicken and stopped eating because the chicken was not fresh. It tasted like fishy meat that had been frozen for a long time. I told the store clerk about it but they didn't respond at all. They showed no respect for the customers' feelings. From now on I will only go to this restaurant where I ate today. But I didn't expect that this store didn't care about its customers. Apart from reporting the dust problem to the service staff, we also told the counter staff when checking out, but they were only concerned with collecting money and didn't care about the impact on the customers, and they didn't offer any compensation. The same problem occurred in two stores. As long as no one was killed, can they ignore any other problems? It’s none of their business whether the food is clean or fresh, because they are not the ones eating it anyway.

I ordered a table full of delicious food, but before I was full I discovered there was dust in it. I couldn't eat any more. The store's attitude towards food hygiene is really disheartening. There is more than one air outlet for the air conditioner, and dust will fall everywhere. I believe that everyone who has ever eaten there should have tasted dust. We are not the only ones, but we have never noticed it.

Do not recommend, service is very slow, waitress was rude and impolite. Seafood Tofu Soup was tasteless and Shrimp was frozen too long. Bibimbob was expensive and small with small amounts of protein. Food was substandard compared to other Korean Tofu House.

Let me prefix by saying I’ve been going to YD Tofu house over 15 years since their flagship on Folsom before the remodel and expansion. I loved going for the tofu soup and all the banchan the grandmas make.

I ordered the dolgani jungol, squid dolsot bibimbap, and the dak bulgogi for take out.

The dolgani jungol was a complete disappointment for something that cost over $50, it had udon, a few pieces of tendon and beef shank along with other fillers like bell pepper…i am not sure what I am paying for that cost this much. During the pandemic, it came with tendon separately with beef and soup in another container. It was plenty big. Now it just comes all cooked in a single container with soup. I didnt event get chili flakes to make the soup spicy. Albeit, the soup was flavorful but not nearly worth the price tag. You can get 3 bowls of pho for the cost.

The squid dolsot bibimbap should not bare the name dolsot. There was zero crispiness. The squid was fine but it really made me disappointed that there was no burnt rice.

The dak bulgogi which was nearly $30 cane with like 8 pieces of grilled chicken. The portion was so light in the styrofoam box, I thought they made a mistake until i opened it. It was dry, chewy, and burnt.

Lastly, what made me very upset was the rice. On the phone I asked if the items come with rice and the clerk responded yes. I asked if I can get purple rice instead of white and he said no problem so I eagerly said do it.

When I finally arrive to pick it up, my bill was almost $130. I got home and saw the check and saw I was charged $5 each for 3 purple rices. I was completely shocked. I called the restaurant and asked for an explanation. The girl told me there is a charge for changing to purple rice. I said for $5???? She said yes. I said how much is purple rice separately. She responded $5…my shock continued. I said that I purchased 3 items and it is supposed to come with rice. I asked how could you charge me the same $5 for changing to purple after I spent nearly $110 on 3 items. It made no sense. All they said was sorry and there was nothing they could do. Lastly, it wasn’t just getting charged $15 for the purple rice that was the cherry on top. When we opened the box, the purple rice was extremely hard. It was so difficult to chew, my jaw hurt.

I will never spend money to the business establishment anymore. Your over priced, bland, small-portioned food represents sadness. You’ve lost the charm you once had and will never win my heart over again.

Don’t spend your money here if you want korean. Just go get kbbq and call it a day…

This has been a staple for us since moving to the area. We hadn't been in a while and went last night. We typically get kimchi tofu and sometimes something else for my wife and son and I to share. Last night we weren't particularly hungry and only wanted kimchi tofu and ban chan.

We were told that with one dish, they wouldn't be refilling our ban chan. We hadn't asked for anything extra, we hadnt asked for a ban chan refill, but they certainly made us feel unwelcome by the comment. We also felt the eyes of the cook staring us down.

We then got our ban chan and meal at the same time and both were noticeably smaller than usual.

Overall, we don't plan to return. The food is still tasty, it not worth being made to feel like assholes for not ordering enough one time.

More than that, what if it was all we could afford and you just shamed us for minimal reason?

You lost a customer forever over some ban chan dishes.
