I found about this place through the news; therefore, I was very excited to try it especially the tamales. I gotta say that I was disappointed! 😞 First, the place was not as nice and clean as depicted in the picture. Second, the meat tasted kind of weird and, last for the price I was expecting a better quality, tasting tamales! Oh! But not everything was negative my friend said the lady at the counter was really nice and the cheese tamales were good!

EDIT: Had the tacos de carnitas at the Sac Taco Fest and it was 10/10 perfection. They won the judge's prize, which was well-deserved. Great tamales de puerco en salsa roja as well. Impressed

1ST VISIT: I got a $5 agua de pepino con limón at the market on Capitol Mall last Wednesday. Delicious, cold and crisp! Tastes so fresh and not overly sweet--fantastic.

The tamales are expensive. I wouldn't complain about the price if they were good. But they were a bit bland and hardly any meat and too much masa. I ordered the pork tamales. I did order from the truck at the farmers market in downtown, so I don't know if that makes a difference. Regardless, probably won't be going there again.

This place is hidden off of Luther Dr. It is very small but the food is excellent! Best tamales hands down! They are HUGE! Inside is clean and inviting. The staff is super nice. Definitely recommend.

Best Horchata in town! This place is all about tamales but don't sleep on the tacos. Locally owned business that needs to be celebrated for it's authenticity and willingness to give back to the community

As others have said, there was an unusually large portion of masa in the tamales. The flavor of the masa was good, but the fillings were kinda bland. My cheese and jalapeño tamale didn’t have any cheese in it. The salsa is good.

Went there this morning because I really wanted some tamales. The door was open and the food truck was turned on with the engine running I walked in and said hello and waited outside but no one came 🤷🏾‍♀️ 😂 I ended up going to la Esperanza on Franklin glad I had a second choice.
