Very popular dim sum restaurant in the Sacramento area. Seems like they made the Michelin guide! They are noticeably very efficient and fast, being able take your order and bring out the food within like 10 minutes. And this is while actually seating every table in the restaurant.

In terms of food, everything was fresh and likely the best in Sacramento. However, nothing was really standout. Wonder whether to give a Sacramento 5 or just a 4. Still this is a reliable and top dim sum option in the area. You'll probably have to wait an hour for Sunday lunch.

We had a group of 9 who went for dinner around 6pm on a Thursday. It was pretty quiet but several other tables. Theye were out of several dishes/ingredients so we wernt able to order several things and/or had to substitute different ingredients. Additionally all the dishes came out separated by 5 to 10 minutes so some was hot and some was cold which was unfortunate. Itherwise the food was good, but a little pricy.

Exceptional service and top-quality food!

Yue Huang is one of the best Chinese restaurants in Sacramento! The staff are friendly, attentive, and always make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. Service is fast and professional, even when the restaurant is busy.

The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented — from their dim sum to the main dishes, everything tastes authentic and made with care. You can really tell they use quality ingredients.

Highly recommend Yue Huang for anyone looking for delicious Chinese cuisine with excellent service and a great dining experience.

This is some of the best Chinese I have ever had. I went with a friend who is originally from China at her recommendation of how amazing and authentic it is. We ordered the Golden pepper pork rib, king pao chicken, sautéed fried eggplant and green beans, fried rice shrimp and bbq pork, and sing ma rice noodles. Everything was execellent very large portion sizes. Between 4 people we were able to take home most of the fried rice and sing ma noodles and half the pork ribs home because there was plenty of food. The service is very fast and the food comes out fresh and hot. The restaurant is very big so there is plenty of places to sit and large tables for bigger parties. There is also plenty of free parking in the plaza I would run not walk here. I can’t wait to go back.

In Sacramento’s heart so bright,
Yue Huang glows in golden light.
A temple where the flavors blend,
And joy and comfort never end.

Salt and pepper fish divine,
Crisp and tender — pure design.
Garlic rain and chili’s kiss,
A taste no soul should ever miss.

Noodles shimmer, thin as song,
Shrimp and spice both dance along.
Sweet fire chicken, rich and bold,
A story told in red and gold.

Fried rice hums with wok’s embrace,
Shrimp and pork in seasoned grace.
Each bite a note, each sip a rhyme,
A taste that lingers past its time.

Raise your cup, let hearts belong,
To flavors deep, to friendship strong.
Five shining stars, no less will do —
Yue Huang, our praise to you. 🌸

This Chinese restaurant in Sacramento truly lives up to its reputation — one of the rare authentic gems of Chinese cuisine in the U.S. The flavors were delicious, and the dishes were clearly made with care, making the overall experience very satisfying.
That said, a few small details could be improved: the shrimp dumpling skin could be a bit more springy, the egg tart baked with slightly more fire, and the siu mai filling refined further to reduce the gamey taste.
Still, it’s a wonderful restaurant that I would definitely recommend, and I look forward to coming back to try an even better version in the future.

Closed almost an hour early on a weekend. 8:08pm not seating tables.

We came in at 3:30pm person at front was at his cellphone talking. He knows there’s a customer came in but no acknowledgment or even a smile he just stood there with his phone on his ear and just faced straight. Then phone rang and answered it but still no hi or smile on us. When he was finished he just asked how many and said “ no more dim sum” then he showed us our table.
Very poor customer service and food is so expensive with 2 order of the clay pot and 1 appetizers and 1 tea it cost us $68.
Never ever going back here no more.
Not sure for the noise level because there’s only 3 tables occupied plus me.

Ordered take-out from here twice, and they gave us the wrong items both times. Only rated 2 out of 5 because the food is decent.

The restaurant serves authentic Chinese food and service is quick but communication can be a little challenging due to the language barrier. The decor walls and chairs feels a little old and the dishes were oily and greasy. Good if your looking for authentic flavors.

The place is busy with long line, the music was loud, the food was tasteless, the prices were too high. What a terrible experience I had yesterday. Will never come back again.
