Recommending the pork spring roll -- it's stuffed with tender and flavorful pork with a nice char on it, in addition to crispy bean sprouts and lettuce, springy rice noodles, and chewy rice wrapper. The peanut sauce it comes with is a little spicy.

I keep coming back for the lemongrass grilled pork so I can't speak to anything else just yet. I'm from the SGV, born and raised, and my Vietnamese flavor preferences lean Canto: this lemon grass pork tastes like home. It tastes like the thit nuong i grew up eating tastes like. Being specific because i think different communities cook their dishes differently so it comes down to preferences and what you're used to. I've been unimpressed by charbroiled pork at other spots in Sac so far because it's usually not enough charbroiled enough and too saucey or overly marinaded. I get the 2 item combo with chow mein and plain veggies. The two side items are on the lighter flavor profile side but for me they are the perfect balance with the pork. I'd definitely do the rice noodle w fish sauce except the portion is pretty large so fish sauce drenched vermicelli and lettuce wouldn't keep very well. I'm usually able to split my order into two different meals so it's quite a bit of food. Also love that it's made by an uncle and auntie. Support small businesses!

It's a Chinese? restaurant, but I come here for the burger. Maybe someday I'll get some teriyaki (isn't that Japanese?)Anyway, the food that I get is great. The fries are just how I like them, crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The burger is just a standard hamburger with all the normal fixings, tomato, onion, lettuce. Cheese is extra. There is nothing fancy about the interior and I wouldn't say it has much atmosphere, but that doesn't bother me.

Coming in, the place is SMALL. It reminds me of coming into someone's home and waiting in the kitchen for the food to be done cooking because they make most of the items on the spot. I'd say getting Vietnamese food such as banh mi, spring rolls, vermicelli noodles, pho, soup, etc. is a solid choice. It is not the best and is slightly overpriced compared to the places in South Sacramento but compared to the prices downtown.. It is definitely on the lower end and tasted good enough for me to keep coming back. The owners are also really cute and friendly. Some of the Chinese food looked kind of sketchy so I have not tried it so this review is based on mainly the Vietnamese food choices.

Been going to Yummy Choice with my coworkers for years. This place is great! Used to get the vermicelli salad (still a great choice) and spring rolls. Discovered their beef stew, though. Excellent! Love the Vietnamese sandwhich (banh mi) as well. They also make a great BLT. Great service, always a pleasure to visit and eat!

This review is solely for the Spring Rolls. My friend brought me Spring Rolls and a Thai Tea. This is probably the best spring roll I have ever had. The peanut sauce even had a nice kick to it. The tea was yummy too. My friend ordered food and hated it that she tossed it. Not sure what she ordered.

A hole in the wall with delicious food. The Pork Bahn Mi is incredible. Best I've had outside of the Bay Area. Fresh and deliciously pickled veggies, extremely flavorful grilled pork, and only $8.50 out the door for the generously sized sandwich, this is my go to lunch downtown. The owners are kind, welcoming, and above all efficient. If there is ever a wait in this tiny shop, it's absolutely worth it.The egg roll I had wasn't spectacular but the Bàhn Mí was out of this world. Five stars without question. Can't wait to come back again.

In town for work. Stopped by here since it was nearby.. nothing yummy about this food. I order sesame chicken and every single piece is hard as a rock and not edible. The chowmein is bland at best.

The chicken banh mi was good! It's a little hole in the wall family run place that is close to work, I hope it never closes.

Very busy for lunch but they are crazy fast. You can get a hamburger cooked to order faster than any fast food place
