I visit this outstanding place from time to time as I love the good air that is unique to this place. The staff is extraordianrillyremarkably helpful and well trained. The service is remarkablywonderfully rapid. Not to mention, the food you get is outstanding. I visited many times and I was always happy. The cost is modest. I highly suggest this restaurant to all my friends.

Food was AMAZING! But the manager was HORRIBLE. Horrible costumer service from her part after our order was messed up because of one of the waitresses. No apologies, we waited for the bill for a long time, food we ordered never arrived and when we wanted to order it they kitchen was closed. Manager/owner never apologized, she was mad we asked what went wrong. The waitress was great and gave us free dessert because it was her fault we didn’t get the order in.

I frequented this place at least every other month for four years. It was good until they changed the head chef. The prices reflect the generally steep prices in the Napa Valley but it's a solid option for an aesthetically pleasing and good quality brunch. They used to make a blueberry compote to serve with their ricotta pancakes but they don't anymore since the change in the head chef. They just serve it with fresh fruit- which is nice, but that blueberry compote was what made the pancake special. Tip: I discovered that Solage's restaurant serves lemon ricotta pancakes w/blueberry compote. It's really similar to how Archetype used to be. Maybe the head chef went there? Archetype is great, I really have no complaint. It used to be better, but it's still good even for St. Helena/Napa standards.

Cozy, warm and comfortable! The four of us were fortunate to get a table with cushiony bench seats with lots of pillows. Relaxing decor, great service and good food. The hamburgers were outstanding, as were the lamb sliders. The kale salad was bland and uninspired, but overall we all agreed we'd love to visit again.

I love this gorgeous restaurant. The ambience here is so clean and relaxing. It makes you feel very at ease. The whole menu is creative but health-conscious. They feature items like cauliflower steak; butternut squash soup, and zucchini noodle bolognese. If you want heavy creams, meats, and heavy portions than you may not like this restaurant at all. I personally loved it for their creativity and Ability to make "healthy foods" taste good. This is rather rare in the US. We havent been disappointed by anything we've ordered here yet :) You can make reservations easily on open table. I've seen them get busy during lunch hours - haven't stopped by for dinner.

Arrived at 9:30am on a Sunday to a nearly empty breakfast rush, so we got seated in the patio right away. The lemon ricotta pancakes were excellent! The portion is very, very filling, soup would recommend going for the half stack and ordering something in addition. Also enjoyed trying the cashew milk latte. I have my eye on the chicken and waffle and the crispy chicken sandwich for the next time we have brunch at Archetype! Great service, great food!

The service was extremely slow, we had to ask for our server a few times before he came to check in on us. I asked to add trout to my meal, that didn't happen. My rice bowl was really dry and the veggies were unflavorful. The ambiance is nice but I doubt I will ever go back.

My husband and I were staying at the Wydown hotel in St. Helena and walked across the street for dinner at Archetype. My husband had dined here before but had heard that it wasn't as good as it once was. Well that was completely wrong. Dinner was amazing!! He had the gem salad and I had the mixed greens, both salads were perfectly lightly dressed with fun bits of fruit, etc. We really enjoyed both of them. We also had the celery soup which was outstanding, I think it was our favorite dish of the evening. We shared the chicken and dumplings and the fish tacos. Both were very good. But what really blew us away was the desserts. Everyone raves about the donut holes but we went with the apple cheesecake tart, which was beyond words. We fought over it, I definitely didn't want to share. We also had the plant based vanilla ice cream with lavender and mint. We couldn't believe it. We thought we were eating dairy ice cream. The flavor and the texture was unbelievable.
