Love this place! The food, wine, and cocktails are all high quality with a down to earth feel. We loved the raw oysters and fried chicken sandwiches. We also saw fried chicken on the Happy Hour menu that looked fantastic! It was in high demand. The nice part is they also do Take-Out. There is so much heart here. Looking forward to returning again!

Service hit all the right notes for an upscale neighborhood restaurant… friendly and helpful without being overbearing. Overall, great vibe. My partner has shouted from the other room that I need to emphasize that the food was So Good. Options to add caviar/fancy supplements kept the menu within price range with luxury options available, well done. Fried chicken is a must and dessert was worth feeling overly full.

Everything on it was wonderful and the fried chicken was delicious 👨🏻🍳💋We will definitely come back for dinner…compliments to Marco at the bar as well. He was attentive and engaging and a pleasure to have as our first point of contact. The company, and Marco’s attentiveness has us planning on a return visit for dinner soon!

I visited to celebrate for my friend who's a soon to be bride-to-be with close friends. The visit left me disappointed.
Shortly after we arrived, one of my friends accidentally tripped and dropped a glass. Rather than receiving understanding and assistance, our server made a passive-aggressive comment suggesting that we were overindulging, despite the fact that we had not yet placed any orders. She said, “as I’ve aged, I’ve learned when to slow down on the liquor.” This comment struck me as unprofessional and inappropriate, particularly during our first moments at the restaurant. She asked my friend to return her menu while she was still contemplating her wine order, which created an atmosphere where we felt hesitant to make further requests.
It is disheartening to feel unwelcome in an establishment that should prioritize hospitality, especially considering the premium prices we pay.
Also, the quality of the food did not meet my expectations. The fish dish we ordered was lacking in flavor. The fried chicken was mediocre, and the beer chicken was similarly flavorless. The oysters were good! I felt terrible about wasting the other food and regretted not choosing another venue.

I’ve been to Charlie’s a few times now and have loved it every time. The best thing for me is that almost everything can be done gluten free!! That means gluten-free fried chicken, fried green tomatoes, pretzel wrapped kielbasa, and Hawaiian rolls (all of which I’ve had and are delicious)!! The menu doesn’t have things marked but trust me the servers know and almost everything can be modified!

So good!!! This was our first visit to Charlie’s and we would definitely come back. The atmosphere is simple and beautiful. The service was fantastic. We were sat upstairs where there is plenty of natural light. The drinks were great and the food was even better. Probably the best, most elevated fried chicken I’ve had. The yellowtail crudo was also delicious!

Great food worth the 2 hr drive. You must try the chicken or the chicken sandwich!!! It's very crispy on the outside but very juicy on the inside. First bite told me it's not greasy at all and not over seasoned. Will come back soon with rest of the family.
