Went for lunch on a Thursday. Ordered take-out at noon, food cam out quickly, and had an 8 minute drive home. Opened dishes immediately. After tasting everything, threw all $45 worth of food out.Hot and sour soup: tasted as though a big cup of vinegar had just been dumped in. No subtlety.Veggie chow mein: noodles were okay, just noodles. Veg consisted of large pieces of under-cooked celery and broccoli - too large for a bite and tough to cut through even with a knife. Completely bland.Orange chicken: soggy, with breading barely hold on or completely falling off too-large chunks of chicken. Had to cut up into 3-4 sections for bite-sized pieces. Scraped up what sauce there was from bottom of dish to moisten pieces, but not at all spicy or hot.Altogether, a waste of money and food. Expensive lesson, never going back.Parking: Good-sized parking lot with 2 handicap spots up front.Wheelchair accessibility: Nice handicap access with a small ramp, but door is a pull out across small sidewalk making it difficult to enter.

Do not order food from Golden Harvest!!! Got food poisoning from here on 3/11/22. In wine tastings in the days after, we learned that Golden Harvest has a history of food poisoning.

Service for take out was great but of the seven dishes I ordered, only one was above average and the remainder were way below. I have drive past Golden Harvest for years and wanted to try it. But the food just wasn't worth the drive or the cost. The woman who was behind the counter was very nice, and if I had known that she was the owner I would have spoken directly with her, because I do not like writing negative reviews. Anyway, the dishes in general were way too salty. I ordered a noodle dishes, and to be honest the noodles were unrecognizable. I liked the shrimp and walnuts the best, it matched most that I have had a good to excellent restaurants. Anyway, I will go back again next year to give it another try.

This place is always worth the drive from Berkeley. I degeneracy recommend their shrimp fried rice( but make it spicy). It's family owned and they're always really friendly

I hate to criticize free food (the boss bought lunch today) but this was the most lackluster, uninspired Chinese food I have had in a long time- no flavor at all. To make matters worse the take out container had a hole in the bottom and the oily sauce leaked out all over the counter and rug in the office. My last review of Golden Harvest was 8 years ago. I am surprised that nothing has changed for the better.
Ordered kimchi fried rice, received fried rice without kimchi. Rice had a dead fly in it.

Very pleasantly surprised by this. As other reviewers have said- this is definitely more of a comfort food/convenient food spot than a high end eatery but we really enjoyed our food. We were within walking distance so we grabbed a quick lunch here. We ordered orange chicken and chow main. It was hot, flavorful, and hit the spot. We might have been slightly under the weather from wine tasting the day before...but it was fantastic pool side comfort food! Check it out!
