Keenan Winery Napa Valley

This is a true family owned and operated Winery, and we absolutely loved it! The son of the Owner, Reilly Keenan, was our tour guide and wine educator during our visit. Upon arrival we were greeted by the official Keenan mascot, their sweet pup Hashbrown!

Reilly did an incredible job throughout our visit, his knowledge is extensive and his passion for winemaking is evident!

We really enjoyed the tour of their cellar, fermentation tanks, and view of their mountaintop vineyards! There were 2 standout wines that we ended up taking home with us: the 2020 Capstone & 2015 Side-By-Side! Both of these were phenomenal varietals with bold flavor profiles, that left a lasting impression on us during our trip!

Keenan Winery in Napa is a hidden gem, and Laura, the sommelier, made our visit exceptional. Her deep knowledge of the wines and the vineyard, along with her warm and engaging personality, made the experience unforgettable. Highly recommended!

We absolutely love the wine at Keenan. All the wines are big beautiful luscious. Actually I’m a red wine drinker so I can’t speak for the white wines but this is relevant for the red wine lovers. We also absolutely love the people here. They are relaxed, friendly and generous. Unlike other wineries, Keenan wine is not only phenomenal, but they don’t try to nickel and dime you, making me just love the Winery even more. Whenever we’re in the area, Keenan is a must do and I recommend them to all my friends and Guest who stay at my Airbnb.

We started off 2023 with a visit to KEENAN Winery, nestled in the hills of Saint Helena in the Napa Valley. We thoroughly enjoyed the causal, personable tasting experience which was in January after the weeks of rain that drenched California. Absolutely wonderful winery, great people, superb wine. The Cab Franc is amazing.

Please do not believe the reviews of this winery. We came here thinking it is a cute small winery based on the reviews. However, the place has no wine tasting experience, our host Laura just poured us wine and not even explained anything about wine. She had to rush from one party to another. You are sitting in a room with a lot of people, they take in so many more people that they can host at a time. It felt crowded and awful. Maybe if on top of all this the wine was good, I would say fine and close my eyes on all this. But out of 8 wines we tried we found only two-three drinkable. We kept spitting everything else. Overall, an expensive and awful experience that truly made our Napa experience to be bad.

Excellent wine tour and education by Elizabeth at Keenan. Keenan is a family owned off the usual wine tasting path. But if you are looking for a hillside wine tasting experience in a beautiful setting, check out Keenan. We were lucky enough to learn about Keenan through our sommelier at home. Awesome experience! My absolute favorite winery. Beautiful location, great staff and terrific wines. A must visit when in Napa. Bring a lunch to enjoy at the picnic spot with a million dollar view.
