Visitors are welcomed as walk-ins and can enjoy a variety of port wines, with knowledgeable staff like Jeff and Peter ensuring friendly service. The family-made snacks are delicious, and guests can enjoy cigars outside on the property. The tasting includes food samples that pair wonderfully with their ports, and the staff’s warmth and patience make the experience memorable. Customers often add to a wall of notes left by visitors from many countries, showing the global appreciation for this place. The high alcohol content of port wine makes the servings feel just right, despite some concerns about quantity. The Royal Escort port is highly recommended, and the dark chocolates made on-site, including a divine gel from tawny port, are a highlight.
