Do not miss if you love port.Local family owned winery with some of the best port wine. We were looking for something that compared to the wine we had in Porto and this place has exactly what we wanted. The snacks they gave was all locally made by the family and was delicious
An absolute gem. Family run, great wine and ports sold by the glass, beautiful grounds nestled away, and the cherry on top is you can enjoy cigars outside on the property in a beautiful setting. They have a small humidor with a few good sticks on site. This place should be protected at all costs :)
Jeff and Peter are fabulous. We had a great visit and wonderful Port! Remember to support a family run winery by picking up a bottle of two after your tasting experience!!

This winery is a hidden treasure. The atmosphere is cozy and unpretentious, with excellent port wines. It's a must-visit for anyone interested in a port wine tasting experience. Peter was extremely knowledgeable, providing detailed information about the wines as we sampled, and we never felt rushed. The service was top-notch, and as a fun bonus, you get to keep the wine glass as a souvenir.
I noticed some review mentioning the wine quantity, but since it's port wine with a higher alcohol content than regular wines, the amount we were served felt appropriate.
Thanking Peter for this pleasant experience

Prager Port Works was an unexpected PLEASURE! If ever you are in Napa, and love Port wine, this is an experience you would enjoy.
John was SO nice and knowledgeable!
And, yes, we bought a bottle of Port.

While the wine themselves were good, the portion for tasting was extremely small. I have had a lot of wine tasting in the Napa/Sonoma region, this one served like 1 sip of wine. Extremely disappointed. Also the service was very chaotic, the host kept discussing things with fellow staff, reservation confusions and not attending paying guests enough. Barely visiting the table just to pour the tiniest portion of wine. Not worth the money

Wonderful selection of ports from subtle and refreshing to more bold ones. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff are the cherry on top. Highly recommend. Thank you!!

My best friend loves Port wine so we needed to check out port at Napa. We were early to our reservation but John didn’t make it a big deal. He helped us right away and we had great conversations about wine, family, and values. It was great to hear about how it all started and that’s it family owned. The tasting was paired with little snacks to complement the flavor of the ports and it was a great experience.Food & drinks: Port tastings!

Awesome place. Gotta say I haven’t been there in years, was looking them up to go back. My wife and I remember Prager above all the dozen or so places we went to in that area. Definitely check them out and we’re going to go back during a long weekend soon.Noteworthy details: Small and quaint and wonderful.

I came here 10+ years ago, had a great experience, so figured why not pay them another visit during a day-trip to Napa. Their website clearly says walk-ins are welcome, so that's what we did. We walked in at 3:30 (they close at 4:30) to a not full front tasting room, and a completely empty rear tasting room with one of their hosts just standing around. He wasted no time letting us know they were all booked up for the day, there was no more "seating" available. We kindly offered to stand for the tasting, but he said no. We did buy a bottle so it wasn't a wasted visit, and after asking a couple of times he reluctantly gave our group of 6 a single glass with a small splash so I knew what i was buying. A few of us took sips from our single shared glass, paid, and walked out quite put-off. This host clearly didn't care about Prager's reputation, or us giving them our business. We won't be back, there are too many other options in the area to deal with this type of behavior from Prager ports.

Just out for a weekend drive on a Wednesday and found ourselves in St. Helena with nothing to do but turn around and go back, so that's exactly what we did. And.... Without warning or bells of any kind I spotted a nondescript sign that simply said Prager Winery & Port Works 》 so, I made the right turn and drove another 80 feet to the winery where I was able to secure some of the best Napa Valley Ports I've ever had. 5 stars all day long for customer service, selection, pricing and ease of operation.☆☆☆☆☆
