UPDATE: Sadly Provenance was recently sold by Treasury Wine Estates in a classic case of undervaluing something (at the corporate level) from afar. This one star rating is for you, TWE. Napa wineries, the lesson here is this is what happens when you sell out to global wine conglomerates. We will miss the Provenance experience and want to say thanks to the great people there for years of good times. Cheers to you all! Noting that BV bought the Hewitt brand from TWE, but has already apparently decided to prioritize BV events over Hewitt ones in at lease one case. We'll see how this situation evolves.

I had a reservation here for my birthday and it was canceled the day before. Apparently the winery was sold overnight and even the employees didn't know. I hope the new owners go out of business.

The only reason that I am giving this 4 stars is because of Linda, she was very helpful and so knowledgeable, the wine was by far the worst of all the wineries we had been to but the service was amazing!

My wife and I had a wonderful afternoon at Provenance on September 6th. Although I had Provenance wines before, I had not actually visited the winery. We arrived early for our tasting so I told Ryan, the Assistant Hospitality Manager that we would just sit outside until our scheudled reservation time. While we were sitting outside, Ryan brought us two glasses of Sauvignon Blanc to taste. My wife and I both agreed that the Sauvignon Blanc was quite good and refreshing especially since it was very hot outside. We also appreciated that Ryan just didn't give us the wine and leave, he actually sat down and talked with us for a while. Since we were doing the Cabernet tasting, Ryan suggested that we would have better experience doing the tasting inside since it was so hot outside. When we went inside, Dick was our host. Our tasting included these wines. 2017 Barrel Select Cabernet, 2017 Star Vineyard Cabernet, 2017 Sleeping Lady Cabernet, and the 2017 Howell Mountain Cabernet. Additionally Dick put together a very nice cheese tray for us to enjoy while we tasting. Prior to each pour Dick would provide us with a nice overview of the wine we were drinking a long with information on the vineyard the grapes came from. We were very impressed by Dick's knoweldge of the wines especially since he had just recently began working at Provenance. It wasn't to busy the day we visited so it what was nice that we didn't have to rush and just could take our time enjoying some great wine and cheese. At the end Dick also poured us a tasting of their Fortitude Cab. My wife and I thought all of the wines were great and decided to purchase a bottle of the 2017 Star Vineyard Cab to enjoy on a special occasion. Thank you Dick and Ryan for an very enjoyable visit to Provenance.

It was a very nice looking wine tasting place. Outside tables and nice look. The place was busy and our wine tasting person was busy and so needed to be very quick with us. Not much information given and I'm not sure he even knew we left when done. For the money we only got 4 tastings and we didn't jump for joy at the taste. For the money I'd suggest going somewhere else.

Fantastic Cabernet Sauvignon wines and an excellent experience! My husband inadvertently made a reservation for a pick up instead of a tasting. Jon graciously hosted us for a tasting and then led a fun and unique experience for our seating.

Had a great time taking my son and his girlfriend wine tasting for the first time. Wine was great, fun atmosphere, not stodgy like some wineries. Tiffany (our host) was fantastic, very knowledgeable about the wines and potential food pairings. Jonathan (Provenance Manager) was full of fun facts and insights into the wine making process and the different wines they make.

First time in Napa valley and this was one of our last minute reservations, ended up being one of our favorite wineries. The ambience, workers and the wine were all FABULOUS. Jonathan was the one that took care of us...he was so knowledgeable about the wine and the estate. Request him when you visit this winery, you won't be sorry. Will definitely be returning here!

Lovely small winery with delicious wines for every occasion. It's a small winery with special attention to anyone that comes to a wine tasting. A lovely charcuterie tray was shared with the tasting. My friend is a member so the tasting is complimentary, but would be worth the money if not. Quiet and calm in a comfortable setting. Do yourself a favor and give it a try !

This place felt so serene. Just being able to relax and enjoy the sun was amazing. Rod was very kind and had a lot of recommendations on where else to visit since I had never been to Napa. I definitely will be coming back here on my next trip!
