The grounds are beautiful, but the tour only gives you a fleeting glimpse before moving everyone into a dark, closed-off room. While the wine itself is good, the whole experience feels more pretentious than welcoming. For the price, it’s just not worth it anyway you look at at.
Amazing highly recommend the 2015
Paul took good care of us during our tasting - excellent product and off-road vehicle property tour. I tend ask a lot of questions and Paul never hesitated in amply suppling me with knowledge about the property (prior to winery history) and how these 260+ acres, and on-property lake, all coalesce with local wildlife.
This was our favorite place by far and I have been dreaming of it ever since. The property is stunning. Feels like you are in Tuscany. The wines were more than beautiful. Our host was Gregory and he was fantastic. He was so knowledgeable and fun to engage with.
We did the Autumn at the Estate tour at Quintessa and it was absolutely fantastic.
The experience began with a scenic drive around the property, followed by a stunning charcuterie board paired perfectly with their amazing wines. Our guide, Lisa, was phenomenal: knowledgeable, warm, and made the entire visit feel special. The views were breathtaking, the wine outstanding, and the service top-tier. The staff makes you feel genuinely welcome and their passion for the craft shines through. This is a must-visit Napa experience.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the exquisite winery Quintessa. We were greeted by birdsong and took the brief stroll up the hill for the stupendous view. Our host Hector, was top notch and quite expert. He provided us with interesting explanations of the property and wine and was so pleasant and enjoyable it made for a great experience.
It was a picture perfect day at Quintessa. After a short walk
(or golf cart drive) up to the hilltop, one can overlook all the beautiful biodynamic and organic vineyards and their own reservoir. HECTOR was our host and we lucked out having him share his knowledge of the very interesting history of the winery and the nuances of their beautiful wines. He makes the tour fun and you walk away appreciating the care of the property and the lovey winemaking the female winemaker puts into each bottle. A lovely cheese/ charcuterie plate is brought to the table. This is truly a Napa Valley winery not to miss.
Quintessa is a crown jewel among Napa Valley wineries, offering an immersive and elegant experience that reflects its commitment to biodynamic farming and exceptional winemaking. Nestled in the heart of Rutherford, the estate is a harmonious blend of natural beauty and architectural sophistication, with sweeping vineyard views and a serene, thoughtfully designed tasting pavilion. Each visit feels intimate and curated, with guided tastings that showcase their flagship Bordeaux-style red blend—complex, balanced, and expressive of the unique terroir. From the first sip to the last view of the rolling hills, Quintessa delivers a truly elevated and memorable Napa Valley experience.
Hands-down, our favorite wine tour and tasting. Amazing vineyard views with golf cart transport and private winetasting building. Our host was incredible explaining the process and answering all of our questions.
What a lovely winery. Great views of the surrounding areas during tasting. A must do

We recently visited this winery hoping for a relaxing and enjoyable experience, but unfortunately, we were met with unwelcoming attitudes simply because we didn’t have a reservation. The staff made us feel like we weren’t “worthy” of their service — very dismissive and condescending. It’s clear they prioritize exclusivity over hospitality. There are plenty of other wineries in the area that are just as beautiful and far more welcoming. Would not recommend if you value warmth and genuine customer service.
Great winery. I went with a friend today and we loved the experience. The space is beautiful and intimate. They use organic and biodynamic farming techniques which we loved. The wine maker is a woman and we feel that that’s something important to highlight in this male dominated field. We enjoyed hearing about the story of the upbringing and beginning of the winery from owners of Chile who came to napa valley, and bought the land with the vision to care for it. We tried 3 wines, and it included a snack plate that was perfectly curated to go well with each wine. The ambiance was elegant and relaxing. I will come back and would reccomend this to many people!
Susan was an absolute treat! She knew her stuff and helped us with understanding the elegance of the vineyard she was showcasing. Request her if you have the chance. Great wines and a convincing show of wine makers that care about their product.
We had an amazing experience celebrating our anniversary at Quintessa. We stayed with the Alila who booked a complimentary tasting for us. Lisa was our host and she is a very knowledgeable sommelier with a passion for the work that Quintessa does. We appreciated the private tour.
Lovely experience, did the Collector’s Tour. Lisa our guide and brought us all around and we got a nice education of their process, saw the expansive facility, and tried some amazing wines. It also came with a little moment to sit under the gazebo and have some charcuterie and relax. All very private. Our appointment was a little bit later in the afternoon shortly before closing, but we never once felt rushed, she still took her time with us even though it was getting late and we really appreciated that considering it was our first time ever to that part of the country. Absolutely outstanding job, worth the money, will definitely be back.
