Beautiful and manicured

This was our absolute favorite experience and winery in Napa. It’s simple, elegant, packed full of history, and the wine is superb. Gustavo was absolutely amazing. He took time to answer all our questions, gave a phenomenal tour, and was incredibly knowledgeable for our tasting. There is always something be said for businesses that put family and quality first!

Gustavo was an excellent host. The tour was great, he was an extremely friendly yet low key low pressure host. And yet the wine is world class. Highly recommend.

The winery was just brilliant. Just a beautiful place and Gustavo was a great host. I highly recommend Spottswood if your in Napa.

In all honesty & sincerity, Spottswoode is (and always has been) one of the finest and most historic California wineries, who produce some of the best, highest rated, ageworthy, organically farmed, and delicious/seductive/hedonistic wines, under the sun! They would give the likes of Harlan, Bryant Family, Colgin, Schrader and/or Screaming Eagle, a run for their money, all day long, any day of the week, and without being pretentious and/or obnoxiously priced. Their staff, especially Hillary, are all absolutely lovely, delightful, helpful, courteous, friendly and very accommodating. This is a serious, classy, family-owned operation, and the grounds are equally as gorgeous, charming and stunning. A must see, and a must taste (to be believed). One of my old (and new) favs! Highly recommended to all. A+++++

I had a great experience learning about the history and tasting the wines with Gustavo. The property is beautiful and the wines very elegant. Highly recommended for those looking to taste wines from an iconic producer.

It doesn't get much better than Spottswoode! Their wines are incredible and the family run vineyard is beautiful. Gustavo gave a great tour of the property and was very knowledgeable about the winemaking process and vineyard's history. It's a very special place!

Such a beautiful place! While I'm not a big wine drinker, I've seen lots of wine and wineries and this one is getting it right!! The estate property with the family's house is just wonderful!! The views and solitude of the facility is amazing! The tasting room and the office are lovely and inviting! Many of the structures they are using were constructed in the later 1800s and are in amazing shape!! Their staff is exceptional and very nice. If you can get an appointment here, you'll enjoy it. Highly recommend!!

Spottswoode should be at the top of everyone's vineyards to visit! We felt like we were members of the family by the end of the tour and tasting. This is a "must visit" winery.

We drove right on past the winery a couple of times before stopping to ask a neighbor watering his lawn just exactly where Spottswoode was located. And that was the start of the type of experience we were looking for. No massive billboards marking the destination. This is small production packing some big powerfully complex wines in the outskirts of St Helena. The family, story and architecture are fascinating. Samantha was a wealth of information and never stumbled on any of the 1000s of questions I asked. She came across as one of the tenured staff or part of the family and we surprisingly learned she is fairly new. The wines are staples of the way Napa grew up the past few decades. Estate grown and produced. Balanced and full of age ability, but don’t discount these are powerhouse warm region Napa Valley reds. They pack a punch and captivate your senses.

Fascinating small group tour of the fields, the history, the lowdown on organic farming flowed by a superb tasting. We were lucky enough to be there for bottling day of 2018 Sauvignon Blanc. I highly recommend this tour & tasting-you will learn a ton and the wines are top notch.
