3 for service.
On Google maps it shows they close at 4:30pm but the staff closed the doors at 4 and informed us we had to leave. When I mentioned that they should then correct the time info on google because it is confusing. The girl who worked as a cashier and seemed to be the manager too was very straight forward and not polite.
In general the bakery was fine. They got good coffee and pastries.

Bread of very good quality and flavor. Their sourdough baguettes are highly recommended.

Gluten free options & tasty sweets. There were 2 cashiers that were rude though, so it made my experience not so great, though the baked goods I bought were great.
Edit: I went back & had a much better experience. Thank you.
Our favorite in the area!

Went shortly after opening- no line quick service great coffee. We ordered the sausage breakfast sandwich and the chipotle bacon sandwich both were excellent. Got a Carmelita bar for later- also amazing.

I ordered the sausage sandwich and it was just too delicious. Also tried their bread while having wine tasting at Joseph Phelps, also delicious.

Food is good but customer service is lacking. Actually the lady working today was outright rude and blamed her mistake on me…. Went in with a friend for lunch. I ordered a chicken salad croissant but was given a “croissantwich” which is a breakfast sandwich. I took the sandwich to the counter to get this corrected and the gal rudely told me that’s what you ordered and proceeded to tell me I needed to grab my card because what I ordered was more and needed to charge me the 1.90. I have no problem paying for the difference but was treated rudely for a mistake by the gal who rang in the order. I didn’t even know there was such a sandwich on the menu called a croissantwich to order such a thing. After looking at other reviews posted about the St Helena location, I’m not the first to receive poor service. When you spend 70 (with tip) on 2 sandwiches, fruit cup and two juices at a cafe with poor counter service, I will rethink my lunch location in the future.

Unique English muffin. Crispy on the outside but soft inside. It's not too sweet but still tasty. I recommend getting Chipotle breakfast sandwhich over the "original" breakfast sandwich. 2 breakfast sandwiches, 1 english muffin with butter and jam and 2 coffees for total of $44. Worth try once.

The most amazing English muffins period. Their other breads and food options are also good. I had an iced lavender latte as well, which was quite tasty!
