We had a wonderful experience! Our host Mo was so gracious and friendly, and of course super knowledgeable about the wine. This is a beautiful, intimate space, a wonderful alternative to the big crowded venues nearby. We called and got a reservation for the coveted private patio space, which could not have been more perfect on a sunny spring day. Although there was no hot food available that day, Mo took good care of us and had a delicious cheese platter prepared. The wines were all lovely, particularly the white varieties. And our host was generous with his pouring! I also want to thank the staff for being so diligent with Covid protocols. The price points on the wine are also very reasonable for the quality. And Mo gave us lots of great local recommendations for dining nearby. We can't wait to come back here.

This place is 100000% a must. We had Mo (definitely spelling this wrong) as our sommelier and not only was he knowledgeable, but he brought great energy to our table. He is well versed in the history of their wine, the food they offer, and the history of the area. The wine tasting is fantastic. Started off with a 2017 Chardonnay, crisp, light, very fruit forward. Then a more savory Chardonnay, which you must let sit in your mouth for a few seconds. They have my absolute favorite Malbec that I have ever tasted, rich with flavor from dark fruits that just lingers in your mouth. Lastly, we had the opportunity to try their 2013 Cabernet, full of flavor, but subjectively my favorite, it was just the slightest bit Smokey.

Awesome wine and great service. Justin was so great to us, I can't wait to go back. My husband and I really enjoyed our time here!

My review is for Vine Cliff wine as I actually visited the estate for a tour September 28 and not the tasting room. Hands down the best wine of three days of wine tasting in Napa and Sonoma. Completely spoiled by an industry tour at their winery and by our host Mo as well. Property is beyond belief as is their wine cave. Vine Cliff has an amazing philosophy of the link between nature, the land, the grapes and the wine. Thank you so much for hosting us!

Abby was very professional and informative about all the lovely wines for tasting. The store has tons of samples for food and cheese and fancy accessories! Everyone who worked here was kind and knowledgeable! Thank you!!

On the trip to Sonoma last weekend, most of my group wanted to make a stop at V. Sattui. But crowds are not my thing, and neither was the long line to "check-in" as soon as we walked on property. So I went back into the limo, and was resigned to spend the next hour alone in the car. But as luck would have it, as we were looking for parking, I spotted a nondescript tasing room in a street corner, across from a Chevron gas station. "Well, beats sitting in the car!" So I hopped out and walked in. The sight inside was a pleasant surprise. Vine Cliff has a very elegant interior, by far one of the most beautiful tasting rooms I've ever seen. I tried a tasting flight of their cabs for $55, which was bit steep but not outrageous, especially considering their quality. The 2012 was hands down my favorite, followed by the 2015. Can't wait to return and try their food...and more wine!

Hands down our most FAVORITE tasting experience in Napa valley for so many reasons. The wines are fantastic, and honestly I don't think you can get a better value/price anywhere else. The tasting room is warm, rustic, comfortable and inviting—like a friend's welcoming farm country home, who happens to be a Restoration Hardware interior designer. Becky, our wine educator and hostess, was so very helpful, they even accommodated us with a 2 month old!

Vine Cliff! Can't believe I haven't written a review sooner. RB and I can't get enough of this place. We originally followed Becky over here from her previous gig at another winery, and are so glad we did. Becky and Justin who work here are amazing and will take great care of you. As a wine lover, I can confidently say that Vine Cliff produces really solid wines. Their 2003 Oakville 16 Rows Cab is officially the best wine I've ever had - and that's saying a lot - and it's what sold me on the place. Their tasting room is in St. Helena but they also have a stunning property on Silverado Trail in Napa that is used for special events, and you can make a reservation for your tasting at that location as well. On the food end, Chef Tom is wonderful, as are his culinary creations. Can't recommend Vine Cliff highly enough, it is one of our staples in what's becoming our second home, the Napa Valley.

BAAAD: that's the summary. I don't write reviews very often, and when I do, I try to be fair. I'm in the service industry. Don't go here!!! My birthday was Labor Day Weekend, and I came up to visit my parents who live in The Napa Valley for the weekend. A Valley I grew up in. They were kind enough to bring me and a couple friends to a couple of their favorite places, some by appointment only, hence Vine Cliff. On Sunday, we had a 3:30 appt and we were swiftly seated in a side room and handed cards with two vertical tastes of Chardonnay and Cabernet, if I remember correctly. A guy named Mo, our wine steward, walked in. Long Pause. It seemed like he ripped two lines of cocaine before he walked into our private room. No Kidding!!!! He introduced himself, then talked a hundred miles a minute, then went on about Napa Valley and talked about other wineries...yet never about Vine Cliff. He mentioned Joseph Phelps, Clos Du Val....yada yada yada...nothing about the winery we were in. I finally stopped him and said, " You're all over the place! Can you please just tell us about this winery?" He did for a second, then went off track to tell us about how he lives in St Helena, how good the schools are, Napa Valley Wine auction. Nothing about the winery. Get It? It was about him and not the winery. And little did he know my dad used to work for that winery. Mo ( should be called NO) is an embarrassment. Let's get back to the tasting: Two Chardonnay tastes. Two Cabernet tastes. We had our first pour of the Chardonnay Year taste. Then Mo comes back around to do the second Chardonnay Year taste....and Mo actually pours the second Chardonnay taste on top (glass not empty) of and in the same glass as the first in my friends glass. Right on top!!! Then Mo looks at him and says, " I hope you like that blend!" This is the service and class level you will get here. Save your money and go somewhere else. There's so many cherished places in this Valley I love. I'm not high maintenance , but I see through bull s****

Amazing!!! Wood fired pizzas (mushroom and white truffle), delicious Chardonnay, a vertical Cab tasting and a luxe, rustic Napa vibe. The hospitality manager (Mo) could not have been nicer. We loved our visit and highly recommend!!!

I was lucky enough to be in Napa Valley for an impromptu day of wine tasting and made another visit to Vine Cliff. We were greeted by Justin and I knew right away that it was going to be another wonderful visit. Our group opted to sit outside and were seated in an adorable courtyard area. Justin was an absolute delight. He picked up on what we enjoyed and was able to tailor our tasting. We had a rosé that was not on the normal tasting menu that was delightful. All of the wines we tried were wonderful, though due to the warm weather the Chardonnays really stood out. We also ordered two pizzas; the mushroom pizza which I had in my previous visit and an artichoke pizza that was light, bright and delicious. Thank you so much for Justin and Chef Tom for showing us such warm hospitality. We will definitely be back.

Great place to sit relax and take in some Napa wine. Our host Becky was very attentive and took great care of us. Tom, the chef, makes an EXCELLENT charcuterie board. He doesn't confine himself to local products in order to perfectly compliment the estate wines. A must go if you are in the valley.
