The service here is outstanding. A few negative points for food portion size and frankly, the resturant is just too gray in color. Otherwise, loved the experience and the hotel accommodations were splendid... One of my favorite hotels in the area.

This was my first stop in Napa Valley and it was an amazing food memory. The setting (veranda) was lovely and the food incredible. I don't have words for how to make quiche with gruyere and mushrooms sound out of this world but it was. I love fish, and the smoked trout benedict was everything I could have hoped for. I look forward to visiting again!

The best vegan dinner I have ever eaten!!! They did everything they could to make the dishes suitable for vegans. All the stuff were kind and willing to do anything for us. Definitely will come back ‼️‼️

We came here during a friends 40th Birthday weekend in Napa.
For the food, we all did the prix fixe menu, with some of the table opting to also do the wine pairings. I would say that the food from the amuse bouche all the way through to the post dessert treats were generally top notch. I’ve done a few restaurants like this and I would say that I walked away feeling very marginally disappointed. I think the short rib was a tad over salted and the fig dessert I got was a little too tart for my liking. I also think that the timing between courses was a little long on a couple of instances.
The service was pretty fantastic. Our server was clearly very knowledgeable about the wines and the food, my one suggestion would be to maybe announce the wine pairings before the food arrives. The server took quite some time going into detail about the various wines, but often after our food arrived and it felt weird/disrespectful to eat while he was still talking about the wines.
The ambiance was fine. Nicely decorated restaurant, but it was largely empty while we were there, so it didn’t feel like there was much ambiance.

My wife and I came here the night before we got married. Our last hurrah. Never been there. Pulled in, saw no parking at first, then went to a turn around and proceeded over to a parking area. Went inside to a bar and after some discussion about the kind of odd parking lot he indicated very politely that there was valet parking. Oh we said, we didn’t see any signage or a valet so I guess our car is parked.
The meal was excellent. The servers excellent. We enjoyed every moment of a blissful evening.
Went out to get the car and it was parked in. Searched around and found the valet who was now at his post and asked if he could move a car as we told him there were no signs or anyone here indicating a valet service and that we had parked our own car. How was anyone to know. His response was “in the future be sure to stop here and have your car valet parked “. Now it was said in a very condescending tone. Our bliss went to defense mode We had never been there before and no signs but we felt scolded like a 5th grader who got caught cutting class. He should have said “ I am so sorry I missed you , I will move the car promptly for you and thank you so much for coming“. And the owner needs to have signage indicating what is going on in that parking lot.
There will be no future for us here and it’s the last $350 I will drop here.
This review is for the owners and staffs benefit. I want this restaurant to do well and like any successful marriage. Communication is the key. ?

Pretty brutal experience. Food was wildly inconsistent, oversalted, textures were all off. The tuna crudo was 3 large chunks that tasted extremely off.

Simply one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had. The food was so unique with so much flavor! Our server Adriana was so knowledgeable and friendly. The sommelier also helped us pick the perfect bottle of wine to compliment our meal. I wish I could somehow let everyone visiting St Helena know they HAVE TO eat here! It’s that good!

I would like to Thank Zachary & Sophia for taking my call and going above & beyond to help me surprise my sister and brother-in-law on their 25th Wedding Anniversary and making it a memorable dining experience. Kudos to the entire team! They were totally surprised. ??❤️

We visited Violetto the third week of July for our 25th wedding anniversary. We chose the prix fixe (4) menu paired with wine. I’ve since described to my friends that every dish was like something revolutionary. We have dined all over the world, and this is hands-down a Top 10 experience for us, maybe even Top 5. Kudos to Thomas Lents and the fairy dust he is sprinkling back in that kitchen.

Violetto was an awesome experience. The food was fantastic, with a special mention for their amazing juices – the carrot juice, in particular, is a must-try. One of the highlights was watching the bartender walk out into the garden on the premises to pick fresh herbs for the cocktails, which added a unique and delightful touch to the experience.
The service was excellent, and the beautiful views and atmosphere made the meal even more enjoyable. Whether you're staying at Alila or just looking for a great spot for breakfast, I highly recommend Violetto.
