First time visit. Beautiful place, for that special someone, or your entire family. Fancy. Loved the decor. We decided to try a bit of everything and went for carnitas tacos, pizza and a cheeseburger. We all loved our food, and tasted a bit of what we all had ordered. The food was exceptional. The pizza crust was delicious, toppings tasted fresh, and it had honey on it. A first for me, and I loved it. I went with the Monterrey beer, and it was great! We had the churros for dessert. They were amazing. They were nice and hot, crispy, and smelled great. Isaiah was our waiter, and it was a delight to have him wait on us. All waiters should be like that. Friendly, knowledgeable about the food and beer he is serving, well spoken and what seemed a desire to impress the patrons at this bar/restaurant. We had an awesome experience. Yes, in small town Salinas. I personally can’t wait to go back. Like Salinas’ son, Steinbeck, said: “there’s nothing in the world like the first taste of beer.” And, they have lots of beer.

We always have a good meal at any of the THREE locations. Since we live in South Salinas, this location is really convenient. It's a "hip" place to be, with a youngish crowd. We like their beer (I always go for the Pilsner) and my husband is an IPA kinda guy. We like their Alvarado burger. I pay a little extra for a salad, rather than fries, and I LOVE their vinaigrette. Service has always been good so we enjoy coming here fairly often.

Ive been here a couple times. The place is spacious. The decor and interior design is aesthetically pleasing, reminiscent of early 1900s style.

The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. Our server Isaiah is top-notch. He was talkative, friendly and attentive.

The food and drinks were also pretty good.

My husband and I used to come here once a week and always enjoyed ourselves. We haven’t been for a while. Unfortunately we will never return. The service is so rude. We questioned our $20 happy hour Paloma when we got the bill as normally they have been $9. We were told too bad. The bartender didn’t understand what we were saying so we had to pay. The mgr said he wasn’t there so didn’t know exactly how we asked. We explained we come here regularly, we get the same thing and it’s $9 not $20 and that we learned about the drink when Alvarado switched to self order. They said oh well the bartender thought you wanted a whole shot so you have to pay for a $13 shot of Gran Marnier. At this point, I was a wee bit shocked. I asked if he heard about the customer always being right and he replied and I quote, “well maybe in fast food.” Yikes. We paid our bill. Got out. And won’t get caught there again. I guess we like places that like their regular customers.

A perfect addition to Downtown Salinas: swanky decor, excellent food, and welcoming service. We needed just a light nosh and the cotija street corn salad was perfect. Their beer is already outstanding yet Angelic poured tastes of what she thought we’d appreciate and she was spot on! Will be easy to find a reason to return!
