I believe this yelp site is in desperate need of update as the business name does not reflect the products sold. To be clear, yes, they sell donuts, but no, they do not sell ice cream; and, furthermore, it feels as though the donuts only exist because of the lottery tickets and scratchers that they sell as those have a better selection than donuts. That said, I did purchase a donut from their meager selection in the afternoon. Not sure if that selection was limited by the time of day, or simply reflects all that they have but the donut was decent, I believe it was called a cinnamon crunch, but the remaining selection of donuts were a small collection of cake and old-fashioned. Still not sure why ice cream is listed in the name as the sign outside the business does not reflect that either. I went to purchase my donut only to learn that they only accept credit cards for purchases over three dollars. Good to know my donut was under three dollars, disappointing if you fail to bring cash they have a decent sized sitting area in the back behind the lottery section. Ironically, I feel as though it is more generous than the area used to sell their tickets and donuts, the attendant was neither nor cordial. Experience was less than memorable. The only reason I chose to do a review to help others avoid a similar disappointment. My final advice, walk across the street buy some box donuts from Grocery Outlet and you'll be similarly pleased.

Walking in and taking in the aroma of the donuts always gets me. Their donuts are hot and fresh. Soft, pillowy, and delicious. They have all the basic donuts and then some. They didn't have any French ones as those are my favorite, maybe it was just that day. Ordering a dozen donuts only includes the basics, jelly not included. I haven't had their coffee, but it's there hot and ready for you. If you feel lucky, they sell lottery tickets for you to indulge. Overall Alvin donuts is ok. It's a donut shop.Parking: Plenty of parking

I have been passing by Alvin's donuts for years since I was a kid! Finally had to fulfill a donut craving and winchells was too far so stopped in, I got a chocolate and glaze donut with a black coffee! Coffee was good, glaze donut was to die for, chocolate donut was mediocre! You can tell donuts are baked fresh! I went back for a second time and paid 1.15 for one glaze donut so I think it's cheaper to buy by dozen. I def recommend you give Alvin's a try there was no weird after taste that most donuts have!

Aww.. no ice cream. It's called Alvin do nut and ice cream shop and doesn't have any ice cream. It's just a small donut stand with a glass partition. The girl wears masks and gloves and didn't even put a napkin on slip of wax paper in my order to pick up the donuts with. I could find a better atmosphere to buy a donut in at a hospital cafeteria. Parking outside is crowded and short on space. The donuts do stay fresh longer, but the glazed are hollow and greasy sometimes.

This place has delicious donuts, great service, great price, accepts credit cards and is open. I was there last weekend. The status of this place needs to be updated to open.
Better choices around. Small and skimpy product offerings. Customer service isn't anything to mention. Glaze are good if caught freshly made within minutes. Location is convenient though but with no one else around shop maybe be taking things for granted.
