Angry Chickz - Salinas

Ordered a number 1, when I got home I saw i got a number 3. Second time they do this. Called the restaurant to talk to the manager to see if I can get it fixed. She said she simply hung up on me. Only thing I can say is if you dont like a CUSTOMER SERVICE job. DON'T work at a customer service place if you cant stand the heat that comes with it.

I can’t get enough of this! The sauce is perfect! Try the medium seasoning not too spicy, and add a side of rice or Mac, you will get satisfaction..

i’m angry alright. quality, proportions, flavor, price… it’s all off. don’t waste your time.

You can't go wrong with anything you order from the menu. The bowls are delicious.

I say this with love; Angry Chickz is like an upscale Chick-fil-a. I haven’t tried any other spicy chicken sandwich places, so this is my frame of reference. The chicken was steaming and moist inside and satisfyingly crunchy outside with a generous amount of pickles on top. The sauces were a perfect complement. I got the mild flavor because I had been warned that a friend’s Mexican friends reported the hotter flavors to be too hot. And indeed, as I was just sitting down to eat, another first timer advised me to use the honey to help cut the spice. The mild was just right for me so I didn’t need the honey, but I can imagine it would be nice to have with the spicier levels. The fries were super crisp and had seasoning on them too. I might pick this restaurant over Chick-fil-a for the amount of chicken and pickles that come with the meal, but I do wish this place had waffle fries.

Update: I came with my husband who has a high spice tolerance. He ordered the hot flavor and I got medium, and we shared. Medium was flavorful and just right, but hot had us sweating and our noses running. It was not joke, and seemed to get spicier as we kept eating. We were dipping our fried in honey by the end to kill the fire in our mouths. It was delicious, but even my husband said he will stick with medium next time.

The reason for this 1 stare review is for not using proper scopper when refilling ice i wa sitting in table next to ice and soda machine when an employee started to refill the ice and he took the cover off the top that was all dusty poured the ice inside and used the Dust cover to push the ice inside to poor more ice he did this about 4 times....

First time here and the food is to die for. I can't wait to go back. Thank you for such a great experience and the food was delicious.

I don’t understand how people hyped up this restaurant so much, too overhyped. The chicken had a bad flavor but the heat was on point. Chicken was a dry and crunchy and did not have a good taste at all. Pickles were good but the fries were sadly the best thing I ate in the meal. Overall, people overhyped this mid ass restaurant. If you would like quality and amazing hot chicken, Daves Hot Chicken is an hour drive.

I tried angry Chickz for the first time and I really enjoyed it. get the angry mac bowl!! I think thats what’s it’s called lol. Super good! The atmosphere was very nice with large tvs , the staff were really nice and friendly

The order arrived promptly and was ready when I picked it up. However, the restaurant was not crowded, but most of the staff were not facing the entrance when customers entered. I stood by the pick-up order counter, and a young man turned around and informed me that I could collect my order. I provided him with my name and showed him my phone. He acknowledged it and turned around to retrieve the food. When he handed it to me, he requested confirmation, which I believed I had given him when he initially asked if I was there for pick-up. I unlocked my phone and returned to the counter, but he was holding the food and shaking his head, indicating that I needed to scroll down.

The atmosphere was generally pleasant, with a few young children enjoying their meals at the front entrance. However, the glass doors were filthy. The food itself was disappointing. The chicken slider was bland and lacked substantial coleslaw, despite having about four pieces of cabbage on it. One sandwich was crispy and hot, while the other was soggy and wet. I started with the soggy one, and the second one held up better, but I’m not sure how since it had been sitting.

I’m not sure when I’ll be returning to this restaurant.
