š½ļø Restaurant Review
The overall experience was excellent, characterized by a pleasant atmosphere and exceptionally prompt service.
š Ambiance & Service
* Atmosphere: The vibe was great. The music selection was enjoyable, and the restaurant was comfortably busyānot overly packed.
* Service Speed: I was seated immediately, and the service was genuinely outstanding. The staff was incredibly attentive; I received my requests within literally 30 seconds. This level of efficiency, while warranting a generous tip, significantly enhanced the dining experience.
ā Drinks & Appetizers
* Cinnamon Coffee: A highly recommended start! It was very good, featuring noticeable and pleasant hints of cinnamon.
* Onion Rings: A definite 10 out of 10. They were fantastic both plain and, even better, when paired with the ranch dressing.
* Specialty Salsa: This sauce, which we asked for on the side, was super delicious and packed with flavor. While it had a slight kick (a bit spicy for my personal taste), it was excellent overall. It truly elevated the burger.
š³ Main Dishes
Eggs Benedict
This dish was quite good overall, though a couple of preparation issues were noted:
* Taste: Very good, particularly the hollandaise sauce, which was nicely seasoned.
* Hash Browns: Nice and crispy. They needed just a touch more salt when eaten plain but were perfect with a side of ketchup.
* Poached Egg: The yolk was runny, which is ideal, but the egg preparation was flawed. I observed some water leakage, and parts of the egg white were undercooked, suggesting the egg was taken out of the water too soon.
* Plating: The presentation was a bit bland. Adding a simple garnish, like chives over the hollandaise sauce, would significantly improve its visual appeal.
House Special Burger
A very enjoyable main course:
* Flavor & Texture: The burger had very good flavor and was wonderfully juicy.
* Minor Note: The only element missing was an onion, which would have completed the profile.
* Serving Suggestion: Pairing this burger with the flavorful specialty salsa made it absolutely excellent.
In summary, despite minor issues with the poached egg and plating, the quick service, excellent atmosphere, and high-quality items like the Onion Rings and House Special Burger make this restaurant highly recommendable.

Pleasant shop in a large commercial zone, plenty of parking. Family oriented, friendly knowledgeable staff. Fast service.
Decent food at decent prices.
Coffee options: regular, decaf, or cinnamon. My wife loved the cinnamon.
Simple 4 tops with vinyl table 'cloths.' Clean, yet busy.

Very good! The red chilaquiles, I dare say are the best I've tried in Monterey County and would easily put them up to comparison with the ones I tried in Mexico. I also had the chorizo omelet and the ratio of eggs to ingredients was perfect. My only complain is cut the bell peppers thinner. The canela coffee was amazing. I can't speak about the other food in the menu.

Randomly found this place after a trip to the Monterey zoo, was greeted nicely as we walked in and got our drinks very quickly, very relaxed and layer back feeling place. I got a bacon burger and onion rings, so did my daughter and my husband got a chicken fried steak breakfast,.. the food was honestly great, and the onion rings looked and tasted hand breaded, which no one does anymore and I really appreciated it because they were delicious! The bacon was nice and fat on the burger as well and it was overall very flavorful,.. my husband said the chicken fried steak was the best one heās honestly ever had and heās had a lot of them at various diners,.. I would definitely come here again in the future ā¤ļø

Raw meat š„© when asked for medium, potatoes cold and soggy, no season on the steak, steak was tough and the tendons were left, cheap cut, this was not a NY steak, bad service, the owner manager doesnt care if u had a good experience! The elders go the during early breakfast deals however this food is horrible

Stopped by this spot in Salinas with a friend after hearing good thingsāespecially about the pancakes. We both ordered the corned beef hash, and I swapped the toast for a pancake since that was the main reason I wanted to check the place out.
The entree itself was solid. The hash was flavorful and well-cooked, and overall the breakfast was enjoyable. But the pancake⦠not so much. When I tried cutting into it with a butter knife, it wouldnāt go through. I flipped it over and found the entire bottom was completely burned. It honestly felt like they tried to hide it, which is disappointing.
I asked for a replacement, and they brought another one outābut it was undercooked, like they over-corrected. Definitely one of the worst pancakes Iāve had. Iād consider going back for the main breakfast items, but Iād skip the pancakes entirely. Maybe it was just a one-off, but the attempt to cover it up didnāt sit right with me.

Had to sit ourselves. We sat at the tables next to register and kitchen and even though the waitress kept passing behind me to come out with the food it took them almost 5 min to give us a menu. The coffee was lukewarm and watery. I ordered the NY steak and eggs. Nothing special about the steak. Didnāt even have A-1 steak sauce it was some other brand that I didnāt like, was thin and had lots of fat. I ordered my eggs over easy but got sunny side up. Ordered the hash browns extra crispy but they looked the same as everyone elseās. They were so mushy l got the feeling I was having smashed potatoes. Maybe I should have gotten an omelette or something else.
