I have been looking for good Chinese food since I moved Monterey. I finally founded . Food is amazing, fresh ingredients, tasty . Noodles cooked to perfection. Seafood was cooked perfectly. Super clean. I highly recommend this restaurant. Lunch menu price and portion are very good . I’m definitely going back again with my family.

Poetic Sam, and his brother make the BEST Black Bean Chicken this side of Alisal. Bar none.
The lunch special is the menu; however I like to ask for the specials and their suggestions. That's how I found their Black Bean sauce so fine.
Other wonderful plates are thea Mandarin Chicken, the medium grain slightly sticky rice is devine. Oh yes!!

Really enjoyed the lunch specials for $14, good amount of food. Lots of vegetables and beef, fried rice was good. Egg flower soup Was excellent as was the hot and sour. I was hesitant as I am a tourist but my friend lives here and it was great. Refilled my water glass when empty, although hot tea is 2 bucks at least it was decent.
