Incredible food! The chicken mole was on special today and the chicken was literally falling off the bone, and the mole was some of the best I've ever had. We also got pupusas, which were yummy. And high quality chips and salsa. My partner wanted grilled jalapeños, which were not on the menu, and they agreed and then didn't charge us. Prices also very reasonable. We spent $30 with no drinks. At lunch on a saturday, the place was busy but still plenty of seating. Clearly...
The pupusa was incredible, the best I’ve ever had! The enchiladas, beans, and rice were disappointing. The beans were watery and not flavorful and the rice was bland. The salsa verde on the enchiladas was great, but the tortillas were very thick and there wasn’t a lot of chicken in them. I’d go back for the pupusas, but would try something else as an entree. Takeout time was fast and accurate ordering.
El Chilacatazo‘s food and service was superb. I had the molcajete for the first time and it was unbelievable. I was in hog heaven.
The only reason the restaurant did not receive 5 stars was because I went to the bathroom and it definitely needed attention. This should not deter anyone from enjoying a meal here. I highly recommend El Chilacatazo.
