First time visiting this place, 20 years ago, Pollo Loco was located in East Salinas and wasn't a chain. So is it still the best chicken in Salinas? Yes, it has the same flavor I remember. Flame grilled no sweet or spicy sauce. However, you will want to eat every bit of tasty skin ?. So why only 4 stars for the food, to much like a chain restaurant. Very basic sides mashed potatoes, tasty Spanish corn ,steamed broccoli, beans and churros,coleslaw. I got the corn, and it was very tasty, especially with the cilantro cream sauce . The staff was very attentive and polite, always smiling, and told me they are coming to Seaside, Ca. Can't wait to see how they do in my neighborhood .

A discovery on our way to L.A from San Francisco. It made me want to try it even without being hungry. We were very kindly welcomed by Sandy, really adorable,by offering us an offer on the salad that interested us, a marvel! You can see in the open kitchen, the preparers working in a good atmosphere and quickly! It was beautiful to see! Thank you for the gifts and your good mood!! I recommend 1000%.
