I’ve had the sandwiches and salads before and both are decent but nothing exceptional. Place is clean overall, but staff can do better with wiping down tables after customers leave. In addition, two times part of our orders weren’t delivered. Had to return to the counter to inquire about missing sandwiches or soups.
Vegetarian options: Typical options for vegetarians with a sandwich/salad/soup place.

What wonderful service! The employees really went above and beyond and the food was, as always, excellent. Their gluten free bread is delicious!

My partner and I were having a nasty argument on our road trip. We were both hangry (that’s a portmanteau of hungry and angry for those who don’t know.) This tends to happen frequently as we do not prepare for road trips with snacks for our journey. It was around lunch and one of us suggested we get a deli sandwich. We did at this establishment. Sharing a sandwich, chicken pesto on 9-grain whole wheat, we were able to make amends, laughing and reminiscing over the times we had shared. Erik’s brought us back together when we were close to falling a part. Thank you Erik for your secret goo.

Good food but I would say a little pricy. If in the area I would definitely go back.

The sea dog I ordered today was soggy and the bread was hard on the edges. The tuna salad was mushy and watery. I will never order anything from here.

Erik's was great - great staff - super quick - and great food No matter what you order. ??
My favorite sandwich, when it’s well made, is a Rueben. I’ve been looking for this sandwich in my area (Salinas/Monterey) for a year. It’s been rough, so I’m guessing it’s choice is not currently popular. (?) Recently, I discovered that Erik’s Deli makes them, so today I dropped in. The service was good. Sandwiches were made quickly. The employees were friendly. The facility was clean. And, they offer a senior discount! However, I was disappointed in my sandwich. It’s supposed to have sauerkraut, which was not immediately apparent. There was too much dressing which dripped and caused the other ingredients to slide. The majority of the filling was in the middle of the sandwich, leaving the outer edge of the bread with nothing but thousand island dressing. This was significant because the meat, cheese, and kraut slid out from the center, increasing the amount of bread standing alone. Will I return? Possibly. I don’t know if anyone else who makes this sandwich.
One word: underwhelmed. Have never eaten at an Erik's before. My wife enjoyed her Strawberry Fields salad but that was the high point. The Butternut Squash soup had an odd flavoring but she got used it.I had a sandwich with Pastrami and Turkey on it. I asked what the Goo sauce was. Mayo, mustard and vinegar. On the side please, tasted it but never used it. Go the Macaroni salad for side, and it had vinegary taste to it also. Vinegar is not my thing but it obviously is 'Eriks' thing. The sandwich was nothing fancy, the pastrami needed a bit more trimming to get a hard piece off it.To top it all off, they were 'out' of lids for the drinks. Maybe California had something to do with that.Won't go to another Erik's. YMMV.
Fast service ,nice indoor eating area.
Dietary restrictions: I try to stay away from the heavy buns and bread, they never give me any issue about putting my sandwich in a wrap instead.
Parking: Erik's has about 20 spots out front, including two spots for quick pickup and handicap spots of course.
Kid-friendliness: Erik's is a real chill place and if you want to bring your kids, go for it.
Wheelchair accessibility: Two handicap parking spots with a decent ramp between them. The door pulls out only which may be a challenge for some folks.
