This restaurant was recommended by a local so we decided to try it for lunch. We have traveled around the world looking for the perfect lasagna and this restaurant did not disappoint us. We put them in the top 5. We also tried their thin crust pizza which was delicious♥️. They have indoor, outdoor and takeout options. Free parking and friendly waiter. The prices were a little high for lunch, $50 for 2 people with no alcohol.
We used Trip Advisor to find a restaurant before our visit to the National Steinbeck Center. We were very happy with both the variety and quality of the food and the service was excellent as well. Would be happy to come again on another trip in this area.
I decided to try this place as other higher rated restaurants were closed the evening I needed a meal. It was ok. Service was fine, but servers seemed to spend quite a bit of time visiting with each other and eating/drinking their own food. I ordered the manicotti which was very dry and actually hard to cut. I had to use my knife to cut it in pieces. The flavor was fine. I make manicotti at home and was quite surprised by how dry & hard this version was. Wine, beer and cocktails are available.
Visiting friends near Monterey , but like Italian and Boy were we not sorry we came here the food was delicious the pasta was perfect everything tasted homemade and fresh I’ll definitely go back when we go in that area♥️

Totally authentic Italian food and lots of it at Gino’s! I had the “Mac and Cheese Gino’s Style” which was a decadent concoction of penne pasta, bacon, grilled shrimp and chicken, baked to cheesy perfection in an Alfredo sauce, then topped with melted Mozzarella. Yes. It was to die for! The hubs had less imaginative Chicken Alfredo, but it was also divine. The garden salad that preceded the meal was not your ordinary boring salad, including baby corn on the cob ears and other out of the ordinary veggie goodies. Salad dressings are homemade, and the Italian with bleu cheese was yummy. I desperately wanted to try a dessert, assuming those would be equally as wonderful as the entrees, but I literally couldn’t eat another bite. I’m taking away one star only because we struggled to get our waters refilled, and never did get the second round of bread the waitress promised to bring. Minor frustrations for another otherwise totally delicious dining experience. I’m bummed I dug into my meal so quickly I forgot to take pics, but I promise, it was a masterpiece!

Artichoke soup is what they are famous for & it's what I was craving for lunch today while in Salinas. We seemed to have time it just right to partake in their afternoon happy hour. Their food options were the perfect size: 1/2 blackened chicken fettuccine pasta * & an order of garlic cheese bread ? along w/my bowl of soup hit the spot for both of us.

In the are doing some work and after we decided to get some good food. Top rating was Gino’s so we pulled up. Started off with the garlic bread and I must say it was awesomeness for sure buttery garlicky soft bread. You are given the option to add cheese but it isn’t necessary.
Next up was the soup and the choice were clam chowder, artichoke bisque, and spumoni. I chose the artichoke bisque and was not disappointed.
Entree: Steak & Scampi: the NY steak was very tender and the shrimp were ok. I was expecting bigger prawns as it said jumbo but they weren’t bad. Mashed potatoes were creamy and good as well.
For desert I went with the bread pudding.
Overall Gino’s understands the assignment so that you can’t be mad at. If you’re in town check ‘em out.

Fantastic meal! Friendly staff and inviting atmosphere. Both my wife's meal and mine were very flavorful and generous proportions. We ordered Chicken Parm and Capellini al Naturale with pesto cream sauce. A must visit for Italian cuisine. 10/10 recommendation

Dropped in for dinner on our way between Carmel and Paso. Really glad we did. The food and service were both fantastic. Highly recommended! The Linguini and Clams was a highlight.
