The bartender tonight was so sweet and helpful. Atmosphere was fun and everyone got along. Highly recommend out of all the bars in Old Town.

Been visiting dive bars forever, walked in and realized yelp rates this place #1 in area. Got to be better places, seemed understaffed on this night and regulars didn't seem to be having a good time. Left after one round to go elsewhere.

This place is perfect if you like the dive bar. I do like it so it's great. Get there early on karaoke night cause the place fills up quick.

Been coming here for the past 15+ years. Best dive bar to decompress right after work. It can get crowded at times when there is an event in town, so I tend to stay away during those times. But overall, great place fun place especially during karaoke nights.

I’ve managed several businesses in the last 20 years and I currently own a business. There is nothing more important in business than respect for your customers. This past week after working out, I ordered some Chinese food, which wasn’t going to be ready for about 20 minutes. I figured I would go next door to the King’s Den to have a beer while I waited.Upon entering the nearly empty bar, I wasn’t greeted or served, even though I made eye contact with the bartender right away. The bartender seemed to be more concerned with talking with the other 4 people at the end of the bar in between kissing his girlfriend rather than serving a new patron. The only thing I could think of was that he was racially profiling me.I got up and left, only to run into the same bartender in the narrow entrance of the Chinese restaurant next door while I waited for my to-go order. I figured this would be his chance to say he was either busy, apologize, or make up any excuse and invite me back in for a drink. He did no such thing. In fact, he was talking to the cashier about how dead the bar was which just reaffirmed that he didn’t want my business. After reading the reviews online, I found out that racial profiling seems to be a common theme at the King’s Den. This shows me that management knows there are issues with discrimination and that they don’t care enough to address the issue or respond to the numerous reviews.I will never return to the King’s Den, and I urge you to do the same. It’s our moral responsibility to send businesses like this a clear message.
Great place to hang out on Thursdays. Karaoke is never dull and everyone is very friendly. Bartender tends to Google 1/3 of the cocktail drinks ordered, so they don't always taste the same, but when you're having that much fun, it doesn't really matter. Lol Just wish they served food at night. Haven't tried their food yet.

Are you looking for a good time, excellent bartender, and some cool music? Stumble ob down to kings den any Wednesday night where you'll find Justin the best bartender in town (as long as you don't ask for anything fancy)

Don't think I'll be back to this place. Cliquey dive bar with stupid rules. Can't listen to music on the jukebox while football is playing despite having no audio for the game. Tried to buy a drink for an old homeless fellah and they booted him out before he could even sit down. He didn't even ask me to buy him one. Just wanted to hear his story. He wasn't 86'd, they just didn't wanna serve him because it would set a bad precedent. Not a proper dive
Best bar in Salinas. You get affordable and strong drinks here. There is also Karaoke on Thursdays and Fridays. Justin is a great bartender and the bouncer is super friendly!
Nice place to hang out and have a drink
