Food and atmosphere was just good. Went to pay my bill, $75 total including tip, was surprised by the total.
Then I asked for my receipt, $76.xx. They added a credit card surcharge without notifying me and AFTER the payment was processed. I would have happily paid in cash had this fee been, and it absolutely should have been, advertised to me at point of sale.
I’m big on patronizing local businesses but this practice of NOT advising there is a surcharge for using credit cards and tacking it on top of the pre-authorized amount is not a business practice I enjoy patronizing. Will likely not be returning to this establishment.
$30+ small pizza and unexpected fees is not worth patronizing. Paid well over $30/person for pizza & one drink… thumbs down.
Reading the 5 star reviews kind of tells me the bar is low for others’ expectations of a dine-in pizzeria.
Premium price for meh.

I tried Heirloom Pizza because I was looking for some local deep dish. I can't say I was disappointed. The menu made me feel like Greg Heffley ordering Drummies, but I ordered the Arugalalala and a build-your-own with mushrooms and gorgonzola. Their tomato sauce is wonderfully tangy, with just enough herb to distinguish it but very clean and tomato-forward. Typically mushrooms are watery or insubstantial on pizzas but here they added both flavor and texture to both pies. I would only complain that they were quite stingy with the chicken and bacon in the deep dish and I would prefer more, and larger chunks. Their deep dish crust differs from their flat crust, using cornmeal to achieve an almost cakelike crumb with good crispiness and no sogginess.
Our waitress was wonderful but the restaurant itself is bizarrely decorated. The space it's in is much too large and industrial, and not in a way that feels justifiably hipster. More like a pop-up in a convention center with a bar crammed in the corner. But hey, if the food is good, who am I to complain? I look forward to trying their Monterey location too.

COCKROACH in the food!!!! Eat at your own risk! It was crawling inside the pizza box that was delivered by doordash. I called to ask for a refund and they did not want to give me a refund.

It’s obvious at most reviewers here don’t understand what good pizza is. The pizza here is subpar. The salads have a funky taste.
The restaurant was not busy when we showed up, but it seemed to take forever to get our food. The service was OK, but the waitress could have done a better job of checking up on us more often.
What really got to me was that it was comedy night and we had children at our table. It was disclosed to us that they was going to be a comedy show, but it was not disclosed that it was gonna be vulgar in nature. The comedians crossed the line with their jokes, and it was not appropriate for a young audience. It would’ve been great if the staff would’ve told us ahead of time that there would be vulgar language and adult topics during the show.
There’s lots of other feedback I could provide, but that’s it for now. I do not plan on returning anytime soon.

Awesome place for music! Great owner, staff and great pizza!!
Heirlooom in Salinas is so much fun! We went yesterday for Karaoke (since they have karaoke every Monday) and it was very cool! The stage is awesome and they have sooo many songs. Food was very tasty! We had deep dish style pizza and thin crust style, salads, and baked wings! Best ranch ever made in house! 🫶🏻Everything was amazing 🤗

The first time I tried this place out I dined in and was given wonderful service by a server who was attentive and kind. The fontina margerhita thin crust pizza is sooo delicious and the heirloom deep dish is amazing. Can't wait to come back :)

We came here for a show that was in town and it was my first time actually in this place. We had an appetizer and a few drinks, we had mainly came for the show. Our server was great though, answered any questions we had and took care of us. I'd definitely like to go back to try some pizza and wings though. The stage they have there definitely adds to the show because it's an actual stage and gives it an experience to remember.

A must needed addition to make downtown more lively. Great service, alternative live music/shows, and drinks!
A plus for the vegan options for their pizzas. Finally a business doing something different 🔥
A great place for a bite and a show. Went on a busy night and had fun.
Pizza was good but expensive. The owner has been pretty rude to their employees in front of customers multiple times when I go, which is always a negative. Also, it’s $5 to add on a topping which makes it frustrating when you order pizzas to go and get home to find out they forgot to add a topping you paid for. Yes I should have checked before leaving but they were not busy at all and if im paying 80$ for 2 pizzas, why should I need to double check to make sure they didn’t forget anything. They should double check before packaging it.
