Ordered a sandwich 15 minutes before closing. Asked if it was to go, I said no, for here. Owners response was "we close at 3 o'clock". I said I knew that and would be done by then. Was she going to throw me out at three so they could go home? Was my business not important enough to stay an extra five minutes if I hadn't finished? Was not happy about that. Won't be back.
Locals know this place and love its food. Hand crafted sandwiches that don't skimp on quantity and taste. Sides like soup, potato salad and such make for a good meal. Lunches only .
I have been going to Loose Caboose off and on for over 40 years. As far back as I can recall, the sandwiches and quality remain just as great as they were back then. Last week I had the opportunity to meet the owner and talk with her and she was very pleasant. If you want a great sandwich these are the guys !
