If you’re looking for authentic flavor, fresh seafood, and real Mexican vibes, Tacos Acámbaro is a MUST-try.

I stopped in and was blown away by the quality of the food. The seafood platter was on point — super fresh, full of flavor, and served with generous portions. The camarones in salsa roja had that perfect kick, and every ceviche on the plate tasted clean and homemade.

I also tried the carne asada tacos, and they hit the spot — juicy, well-seasoned meat with grilled onions and chiles that took it to another level.

The service was friendly, the atmosphere was relaxed, and you can tell this place puts love into their food. Whether you’re dining in or grabbing something quick, this spot is definitely worth checking out.

Highly recommend — I’ll be coming back for sure! 🌮🔥

The experience here was horrible. I’ve been here so many times before and you could tell the service decline. The servers’ quality aren’t the best. They do what they can, but you can tell they’re struggling. Our food took over 45 minutes to get to us. My two little kids were so hungry, I had to take my infant into the bathroom to breastfeed her. After 40 minutes, we asked the servers if it would take longer to get our food. Five minutes later, they slowly began to bring out our food. My partner began trying to talk to the server and ask why it took so long. She said there was a lot of people and my partner pointed to the restaurant and said that there wasn’t any people there. Then she said she didn’t work in the back so she didn’t know. When we were gonna pay, we asked to speak to the manager and it turned out the owner came. We were relieved to know that the owner would talk to us. My partner let him know of our experience and how we’ve never had a to wait that long at other taquerias. The owner cut off my partner and said that it was a restaurant not a taqueria. Odd thing to correct hence maybe don’t name your restaurant TACOS ACAMBAROS. My partner corrected himself and then the owner began cutting my partner off more and said that the food was good and is made from scratch and they have online and a lot of people. We let him know we understand that but it felt like we were forgotten. No one checked on us or anything despite my infant screaming impatiently. The owner THEN BEGAN RAISING HIS VOICE at my partner. I was so shocked and confused. My kids were there. I cannot believe that we experienced this. I used to like this restaurant before I moved to San Jose with my family. I’d heard of rumors of this place and the owner but I never let my judgment dictate my decisions to eat there. I am so upset. My two kids were there. He said he wasn’t going to give a discount over us threatening to post a review. That wasn’t the point. This isn’t the point. The way he handled the situation was horrible. He then walked away from us so hostile. I tried asking for his name and he was so rude. I am shocked. I don’t normally post negative reviews but I’m so ashamed this happened. I don't believe that we should have been treated this way.

I’m giving this place 2 stars only because the food was decent. I went with my parents and two kids, and unfortunately the service was very poor. Our waitress only came by once, we had to ask for everything else we needed, and no one came to clear dirty plates or bring us the check. Instead, we had to pay at the entrance, where they automatically add an 18% gratuity for parties of five or more. The issue is that by the time you get to the front, you’ve likely already left a tip at the table, so you end up tipping twice without realizing it. It feels misleading and left a really bad impression.

My dad even said, “I never want to come back to this place.” Honestly, I was warned and should’ve listened, the reviews were right. The waitresses really need training in customer service. It’s not hard to welcome a customer, greet with a smile, and simply bring the bill to the table.

The waitress that is a middle age hispanic women with bleached hair with her hair in a bun is always mad, always rude, she looks like she hates her job and is forced to work here. She is never welcoming and always ruins my family’s dinner. Everytime we come here I’m hoping someone else helps us. This women is a nightmare should not be working here. Staff needs to be properly trained before interacting with the public.

If I can give this place zero stars I would. Waitresses are extremely rude & un welcoming. I tried giving them the benefit of the doubt but I really wish I didn’t. I got some asada tacos with barely any meat on them it was mostly fat. I asked for the manager and the owner came to our table. He was extremely rude and unprofessional about the whole situation and refused to give us a refund or even a discount. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I would rather support other business.

I am writing this review to express my recent experience. From the moment I entered, the atmosphere was welcoming. However, my positive first impression unfortunately took a turn.

I am uncertain if the individual present was the owner, but the way he interacted with his employees was concerning. His demeanor suggested a lack of respect, and the negative expressions directed towards us were quite unsettling.

Furthermore, I observed an employee entering the restroom without removing his apron. While one would typically hope for basic hygiene practices such as handwashing after using the restroom, this employee returned to the kitchen, and it was not evident whether he had washed his hands.

Considering these observations and the consistently negative reviews regarding the cleanliness of this establishment, I felt it was important to share my experience.

I don’t usually write reviews, but after my experience at Tacos Acambaro in Salinas, I feel obligated to warn others. The place is filthy. Tables were sticky, the floor looked like it hadn’t been mopped in days, and I honestly questioned whether the kitchen was any cleaner.

The staff? Shockingly rude. No greeting, no courtesy, just attitude. You’d think I was bothering them by ordering food. The worst part, though, was the owner himself. Unprofessional, short-tempered, and openly disrespectful to both customers and his own employees. It was uncomfortable to witness and incredibly off-putting.

There are so many great taco spots in Salinas—do yourself a favor and skip this place. Poor service, bad vibes, and a dirty facility. Avoid at all costs.

The food was extremely cold, and the waitress seemed unhappy, making us feel unwelcome. The restaurant also had a slightly unclean appearance. I wouldn’t recommend this place for dining; it could potentially lead to food poisoning.

Sometimes I can't eat comfortably with other friends because the sound of music and those singing is so loud that it doesn't allow coexistence ?
