Like most hotels in this area, it's showing it's age... The rooms are spacious but in need of an face-lift. The lobby area is nothing to write home about, and the backyard is tiny, but still has a firepit... Was OK for a one night stop near Monterey & Carmel, but I wouldn't go back... The staff are quite friendly & helpful though...
Excellent accommodations. The room was spacious, very clean, and well-maintained. All staff members were friendly and professional. There is a large, clean, and well-equipped workout room and a coin-op laundry room with washer and dryer.
Wanted a fairly central location to explore Santa Cruz and Monterey so we chose Salinas for convenience and price. Hotel had a lot of chain stores around which made it easy to pick up some groceries and snacks for our road trip. It’s a Courtyard so rooms are standard, I think the restaurant was open (we didn’t eat there). Used the laundry facility so that was helpful. — at Courtyard by Marriott Salinas Monterey.
