We stopped in for a lovely lunch and learned quite a lot about the house. We had the chicken apple and Brie sandwich with soup and it was delicious and a good value. The service was very friendly.
The chef is a professional, but the staff all volunteer. You can tell they all love their jobs.
I have taken over a dozen people, and all have returned on their own. There is a fixed menu, plus at least three special items presented every week.

The Steinbeck House served excellent food! The wait staff was friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this restaurant as a place for delicious cuisine amid a historic ambiance.
