Wow. Came here for a first date and they made it a very pleasant evening for my date and I. The service was amazing, the atmosphere was peaceful with a romantic vibe, and the food was amazing. My date couldnāt decide because everything looked so good. She had a filet mignon with mole sauce and shrimp and since she couldnāt decide between that and the lobster enchiladas I got that so we could share. Boy oh boy they were both amazing but the lobster enchiladas were especially amazing. The sauce was full of flavor and wasnāt too spicy. Definitely going back to this place again!

Did a take out order. The sister of the owners wife gave us our food. Super bubbly. She gave us our food and came home just to find out that they forgot to give me the side of beans I paid extra for and also the Tortillas for my husbandās Mole dinner. Called back to let them know about the tortillas and the lady that answered the called stated that the server did put them inside the boxes. I said no my 2 daughters are my witnesses that we donāt have the tortillas. It was already 8:40 pm when I called. I also asked to speak to a manager and the lady said they didnāt have a manager at that time. Wow no manager running a restaurant. Iām very disappointed. AGAIN the food is delicious and the price is a bit high for the service they gave !!!!

Villa Azteca is a must for dining in Salinas. Community is built around food at lunch and romance is celebrated at dinner. Exquisite cuisine, lovingly prepared and presented with pride. I get to travel to Salinas 3-4 times per year so every visit is, for me, a special occasion. I feel at home here. An excellent restaurant staffed by wonderful people.

This place was recommended by a couple of my Mexican friends. We arrived a few minutes early only to find a waiting line to get in.
Once seated, we were brought some homemade salsa and chips. When trying a new Mexican restaurant - I always try their Chili Relleno. It was great. Not your normal breaded chili with salsa - but a roasted chili in a butternut cream sauce with pumpkin seeds. They also stuffed it with chicken.
Talking to one of the owners - everything on the menu is a family recipe. Everything is made fresh daily.
The next time you find yourself in Salinas - stop by and prepare yourself for a feast. Be sure to save some room for dessert.

I had ordered some chilaquiles not worth the price and it got me sick throwing up all night! Not the first time I was 5 months pregnant I had fallen and slipped and they didnāt help. Bad customer service and the owner's daughter was rude she didnāt show any sympathy! But I would never go back to the place!
