Party of 8 - our server was overwhelmed as he was the only one working numerous other tables outside by himself and perhaps the reason for being short and not so attentive - the girl working inside was busy with the bartender and the hostess was just standing by her station - food to me is very pricey for what you get and level of service - our bill was close to $800 without the tip - 2 bottles of wine close to $150 - I asked for cappuccino after verifying they had the machine for it and got espresso in a regular coffee mug with some foam on top - when informed our server I was told that's the best they can do - not sure what that means but ok

Great atmosphere excellent service authentic French country cooking at good prices served with good wine selection and friendly atmosphere. Mostly casual and nice outdoor section. I understand they will be taking this summer to move to a new location but look for them to return in the area. Worth the wait.

My favorite French bistro-type restaurant in Marin. Great outdoor seating on nice days. Professional cooking.

Lovely ambiance, kind of surly service, paella was decent. Cute area. Fries were the best part.

Great food and excellent service. I love their fries so much and their special burger as well. I love to be back here again with friends and family. Clean and warm ambiance.

The seating outside is nice and they have gas heaters if it's a bit chilly. Did not checkout inside. Waitress Annie was very nice and helpful. The food in general was outstanding. Escargot - Amazing. Hamburger- Amazing. Fries, aioli- great. The only thing that was just ok was the mussels entree, it was good but not as notable as the other things we ordered. Oh and don't forget dessert- we had the meringue and an apple tart which were both outstanding.

The steamed mussels are amazing, and in a shallot rich non salty broth. I also had the meringue and cream dessert. All of it was excellent

Sean and Jordan, good service. Lamb burger cooked perfectly medium rare. Ciabatta a bit too big but that's ok. Clean and well seasoned beef tartare. I wish the charcuterie board had foie torchon. Duck confit could use more of the fat juices. Comfortable seating, father and daughter great dinner.

Live music nights are the best at this delightful spot!

I celebrated my birthday here in January and I can't believe that I haven't reviewed it yet. We had a wonderful time! Our reservations were for 6:15pm on a Friday and there was hardly anyone there when we arrived. That was a bit concerning, but their clientele is obviously a later group because it filled up later on. We were seated on the patio without being asked if that was okay, which is probably my only complaint; that seems like something you should check in about in January. We ordered a salad, a cheese plate, and foie gras to start. All were fantastic, especially the foie gras. For mains, we order cassoulet, onion soup, and some kind of fish (sorry I don't remember exactly what it was, but I was captivated by the cassoulet). The beans in the cassoulet had an AMAZING flavor, although overall I liked the one at Bistro Jeanty better. I think here they must cook it in one big pot and then portion it out rather than cooking them individually; here, the duck and sausage was plopped on top rather than being cooked inside the beans. The French onion soup was killer! It seems cliche to order it but you should do it. I know I tried the fish but I honestly don't remember it because I didn't care for it as much as the other two. For dessert we ordered ile flottante (the main reason I chose them for dinner) and tarte tatin. The ile flotattant was super fantastic, everything I could have hoped for. The tarte tatin was a sad little thing, nothing like what we expected. It appeared to be an individual tart that only had two pieces of apple -- no real flavor other than sweet. I think the key here is to know what to order. It is more on the expensive side, but they had a fixed price menu that looked reasonable. I would also be interested in checking out one of their raclette nights!

Ate at the restaurant based on a friends recommendation. Table was ready late. Escargots was good. Ordered the French onion soup. It seems as though they forgot mine. Came out 5 minutes after everyone else's appetizers and the crust was undercooked. Flavor was fair. Also ordered the halibut as well as one of our friends at dinner. Bothe meals were very undercooked and almost cold. We both sent back our dinners to be cooked more with little improvement. Our friend ate very little of hers while I finished mine because I was hungry. The staff comped our dessert because of the issue. However, they seemed to not care very much about us. I had to ask each time to have a new drink. It felt like they couldn't wait for us to leave. Will never go back and will never recommend.

After my last review, the owner reached out & asked us to return, along with a gift card. I'm pleased to report our follow-up visit was splendid. Our server was fabulous - social, attentive, timely - and our meals were excellent. Yay!
