True story, Sushi 69 used to be 6 Stars, it’s still holding on to 5 post pandemic. Things have changed, rolls are inconsistent and you have to pay attention to your details. Amy gets the fish and they are still getting GREAT quality fish, deep red maguro and tender fatty salmon. I love the avocado rolls and appreciate the eggplant tempura roll. The tofu agadashi is delicious. This is legitimate sushi in San Anselmo!
Vegetarian options: Great Tofu Agadashi.

Super awkward on a Tuesday no help with seating and no staff standing there for 8 minutes and chef asked if I needed help??? I said “yes I want to be seated so I can eat tonight”and then she said ok sit anywhere but tables were not cleaned so I left atmosphere people looked puzzled on when they would be served too bad they used to be good what happened to 69?
Sushi 69 is amazing as always! The fish is always fresh, the service is amazing. Love love love Sushi 69. We get takeout and we are so happy that the restaurant is open for full service. Sushi 69 is the best!

Service was inordinately slow, but food was delicious. Good sake selection and knowledgeable staff.

We had to leave due to the waiter being both rude and not even knowing the menu. Didn’t even get to try the food. She’s making this restaurant look bad. I wish we could’ve tried the food but she was too much to tolerate.
Hiro Roll is awesome. Rest was good too…have to order via QR/web which is okay.
Some of the best sushi in the area. Impeccably fresh fish, expertly sliced.
The food is fresh and top quality. Service is impeccable. Take-out containers are compostable (a big plus). We had sashimi, tempura, seaweed salad, edamame, and Hiro’s roll. All was absolutely fresh and incredible. Our only disappointment was that they were serving inside, although the website said take-out only, and the only option was to order on-line, as there was no way to leave a phone message or reach anyone. It was out anniversary and we would have loved a night out,but we’ll know for next time. The food was as wonderful, as always.
Restaurantji Recommends
We ordered four different rolls: Hiro, Takeshi, Explosion and Dragon. Rice was overcooked. Everything was okay. Not great. But quite pricey for the quality served. But then again, there are almost no other good Japanese restaurants in Marin.
I told my friends about this restaurant with my highest recommendations. I visit this restaurant often. This recommendation is always successful. The dishes they serve are fantastic and the team is generous and cooperative. Every time we go to this place we pass a cheerful time. I recommend this place with pleasure.
My best experience at a restaurant ever. I went here weekly for months, befriended one of the chiefs, and he slowly taught me everything I know about sushi. I remember it fondly.
Best Sushi in Marin, period!
Me, from mid-west & my honey, a Tokyo native, have loved consuming delightful flavors, textures, aromas, presentations, and service for @ 20 years !!
