This place says it's open from 8 am to 3 pm Monday through Friday but was closed at 10 am today, Wednesday, Nov. 13 2024. Luckily, I found Molly's Cafe nearby and so thankful because I would rather support a classic join than a new gentrifier.

This place has been on my list of places I wanted to go to since it opened. I was not disappointed but I was not fully satisfied because of my expectations. From the images online I pictured a modern/ cool or hip or unique atmosphere/ ambiance like you see in other downtown areas (i.e: Claremont, Redlands etc..). I don't know if it was the items visible in the glass case/ the food items in the clear take out boxes or the Mexican food items open in the glass case (like those in El super) but the restaurant did not have great ambiance/ kinda felt like I was at a Mexican grocery store. The local art on the wall was neat, I appreciate the highlighting of local artists but the art that is up looks like it's been up for a while. It would be nice for the art to be switched out once in a while to give spotlight to more local artists and add variation to the cafe. I think a little music might help increase the aesthetics of the cafe also.

I ordered the turkey bacon sandwich and was not disappointed with the sandwich, it seemed pretty full and a good size to share (for 2). I don't know about the origin of the meats though since the restaurant claims they are imported but they seemed like something you could get here at the store, again I don't know ??‍♀️ and don't know how I could tell the difference. I also got the iced latte with the hazelnut flavoring. The coffee wasn't the best but it wasn't bad I wanted to get something that I saw on Google maps but what I got looked nothing like it. I was also expecting to get the full experience with the coffee cup and sandwich paper with the logo like in all the Google maps images but was given a plain plastic cup and a picnic blanket pattern sandwich wrapping, maybe the owner's budget is tight (bc rn everything is expensive) or maybe Caffe Liscio got a new owner since they opened but it just wasn't the experience i expected. FYI: they have 2 bathrooms and rn one is out of service, and talking about the bathroom, the bathroom was pretty clean.

This place is pretty awesome. Amazing coffee and great sandwiches. The aqua de fresca is freshly made which is hard to find. No powder. Black coffee actually tastes good. Can't always say that's the case at cafes. Will be back to try more on the menu. Motadella was absolutely awesome. Fresh lettuce and fresh bread. Shared with my friend who had never had it before and she loved it.

First time visiting and boy was it a treat. I spoke with the owner and she is such a sweetheart. My coffee was perfect as well as my pumpkin muffin. Support your local businesses!!!

I had a dirty chai with Hazelnut. The coffee did not overpower the chai. The flavors had a great balance and I felt refreshed after drinking it. I would go again and order it again. I do want to try more of the menu. Everything on display looked really good. The pecan cinnamon roll was very pretty and had a really great flavor. The middle of it was my favorite, it was all around warmed up to perfection.

Vegetarian options: There are a lot of vegetarian friendly pastries and drinks. The coffee drinks can also be made vegan friendly.

I recently visited here and had a wonderful experience. I ordered a turkey sandwich and an iced coffee, and both were exceptional. The turkey sandwich was fresh and delicious, with perfectly balanced flavors and quality ingredients. The iced coffee was refreshing and perfectly brewed, providing a great complement to my meal. The ambiance of the café was cozy and inviting, and the staff were friendly and attentive. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a great meal and a relaxing atmosphere.

Yo this place is DELIGHTFUL.
Wonderful, warm staff who knows what they’re doing. Rachel made the heck out of my mortadella sando (thank you!!!) and the barista (I didn’t get her name but she was awesome!) made one of the best dirty chai’s I’ve had in ages. 10/10 would come back.

This was the third attempt to visit, and the first successful visit. The first time it was closed. I called and they said they’d be open on a certain day and weren’t. Today they were.

The employees seemed disorganized and confused about the menu. They had trouble with the soup of the day and worryingly checked a warmer multiple times to see if they “freshly prepared something.”

The credit machine didn’t work. They asked for cash. I was given incorrect change.

Most of the fountain options were not functional.

The noodle salads appeared old and crusty.

The sandwich which by itself was over $20 was dry, with not fresh bread and bag-o-salad and meat that seemed old and poorly portioned.

It was nothing like the other review pictures.

Overall it was not worth the $30 to eat a lunch where the best thing was the prepackaged potato chips.

The parking is poor, and the ambiance is odd between the homeless tents and the lines for the embassy.

I started working here and I love the vibe. The whole place is covered in art from local artists and the coffee is delicious. If you're in the area, I recommend the Caprese!

Nice cafe close to city hall. It was busy when I stopped by but the lady working was quick and cheerful. Plenty of indoor seating with very interesting art, but there’s also a nice outdoor area in the city hall courtyard.

Vegetarian options: There’s at least one vegetarian option.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere here. They had local art all over and I was so excited to try out the food. Unfortunately, I ordered the tonno (Tuna) and it looked BEAUTIFUL however it was more like a mayo sandwich with a hint of tuna. Idk if they were trying to make the tuna last but dear lord it was like eating straight up mayo and no seasoning. I was sad about this but overall the employees were very kind and again the energy and atmosphere was fantastic. Hoping that was just a bad batch of tuna.

I love the picante sandwich! I'm picky about coffee and didn't enjoy the iced coffee here, but sandwiches are delicious and reasonably priced.
