Lucille‘s Doesn’t even compare and that used to be my favorite but this place beats it by far! Also, their customer service is amazing! Some thing that every other restaurant has been lacking! “All in all, this was a wonderful dining experience.
I had gone to a shabu shabu restaurant once before that was *not* all you can eat, and Hello Shabu was my first all-you-can-eat shabu experience, with a buffet, etc.
The music inside was quite loud, and my hearing is terrible, and the server/hostess was very soft spoken, and I had an extremely difficult time understanding the process of acquiring and ordering the food options (pick broth, pick base, pick proteins, etc), and as we were the very first customers of the day, there wasn't any way to observe other patrons at what they were doing in order to get a feel for what the restaurant intended for us to respond with.

After each of us (wife, 3 kids and myself) placed our broth and protein orders, we sort of sat around, unsure what we were supposed to do.
A few minutes later the music stopped briefly right as the hostess/server explained where to go to get various items (ice cream, beverages, prepared hot-buffet items) and we were still a bit confused because we weren't exactly sure what any of that meant against what we already ordered, and were unsure of if the directions about the hot-plate items were what we had ordered for our soup bases/proteins, etc.

For all the television screens that there were in the restaurant and how long the reception area was, I am surprised that the screen on the wall right as the patron enters the restaurant, is not a tutorial for the individual(s) who do not know how to order at an all you can eat shabu shabu.

I feel it would be very, very wise to create a tutorial video and feature it to the patron as they enter the restaurant.

After the food came out on the little serving robots, the broth was added to our hot kettles, and we tried a couple of items from the buffet line to add to the broths (vegetables, mushrooms, noodles) we started to get a feel for the location with much better confidence.

It was fun, and we learned alot, and we will probably try it again sometime on a family dining experience.”

“Wow, I've been to a lot of places to eat Bahn Mi and I have to say, this place is the best! The freshly baked bread is out of this world. It tastes fresh and is super soft! I got the regular chicken and my husband the teriyaki chicken. The thai tea with boba was great, not watered down like most places, and the boba was soft, not hard. The ladies there, Jackie and Lin, are super happy people and very kind, and they make their food with a lot of love! I will definitely be coming back next time!

Since the place is relatively new, they have better machines allowing them to search you extremely quickly. There was a weird robot ai thing that took my order that felt really weird, but it got the job done. Overall it is one of the nicer Carl's juniors I've been to.

Parking: One of the main drawbacks of this spot in particular though, is that it is a very hard to reach area that might frighten newbie drivers. This is because there is a very tight entrance on the west side of the shopping center that leads to a tight entrance to the drive through. If you are a good driver you should be good though.”

“Y'all owe me a "I Love Weiners" hat. I went in a week or 2 ago when you were selling the hats, asked for a hat, and was told you were sold out. The very next day I saw an employee hand a hat to the car in front of me and when I asked for a hat, I was told they're cash only. Personally I think that's illegal to deny a form of legal payment but accept it for food just because a part # is no longer in your system. And they didn't even have a manager on the premises that day. The day after that I went in again and asked for a hat and was told they were sold out indefinitely. Wack. Plus your employees are always gatekeeping the simple sauces like ketchup. Who orders a hotdog and expects to not get ketchup with it. Food is a solid 10 out of 10. But man these past experiences make it an absolute headache to go there.”

“The carne asada is flavorful. I get the burrito with onion and cilantro, cheese, tomatillo and red salsa. That pairs well with the carne asada. The carne asada is pretty juicy and satisfying, especially for the price of $10. They pack the burrito, so it's a good size.

I tried their churros - they're average. Still good though!

The service is mixed. The first time the burrito was done right, the second time I went a few days later didn't have the salsa inside the burrito as per my request. No big deal though, mistakes happen.

I'll go a few more times before I make a final update.

I forgot to take a picture till after I mixed everything around but there is a bunch of cheese, guac, sour cream and some lettuce. And it's actually chilled lettuce too so it's really refreshing. “Stop being disappointed by mediocre Mexican restaurants that fill you up on tortilla chips and combination plates, and have a tailgate party in the parking lot with Tacos La Baja!

Street food is a new thing. I've been wanting to stop, and I'm glad we did. They make their own taco shells, everything is fresh, and they have $2 tacos. We had al pastor, which is crispy, slightly sweet pork. We had the tacos and a burrito that comes with rice & beans, and it was all good!

Drawbacks: No tables; when it gets dark, homeless and drug people come out of the woodwork. When we visited, there were 2 of each.

People don't seem to mind, and everyone seems to know their place, but just beware of your surroundings. It's worth it though, just have your pepper spray ready and if you don't need it, you can use it on the tacos -- not that you'll need to.

Tacos La Baja has numerous varieties of salsa that are all good and they aren't like other places that have watery tomatoes, onions and cilantro and call it pico de Gallo. They are the real deal.

There are numerous other trucks and stands at the location in front of Target, so make sure you know who you'r bartering with. Maybe visit the others for samplings, but remember, Tacos La Baja is it!
