I'd been meaning to try this place for a while, as these types of 'hole in the wall' spots can be INCREDIBLE.
I ordered a simple bean and cheese burrito and a 'medium' horchata.
The beans and cheese were genuinely incredible. Wonderful creaminess and texture with the beans, and the perfect warm, melty experience with the cheese. Unfortunately, the tortilla was huge and the beans and cheese were minimal so it was all tortilla. The tortilla was tasty, but for $6 I would've expected a more generous serving of beans and cheese.
The horchata was even more disappointing. As others have mentioned it was grainy. I was asked if I wanted a Medium or a Large, and when I ordered a medium, I received a 14 oz plastic cup with mostly ice that cost me another $6. There is no menu (that I saw), so you're not sure of pricing of anything, which is disappointing.
If this spot were to be a bit more generous with their servings, I think their prices could be justified, but as is, it just felt like a totally disappointing experience.
I know times are tough, ingredients cost more money, and everyone's just trying to make it - but I also think generosity can go a long way for these little mom-and-pop restaurants.

The food had delicious taste, but there was something missing. You cannot go wrong with the corn tortillas. They are amazing. The salsa the pico de gallo. It’s on point although the area was rough to say the least hopefully the area gets better. I’m sure the business will grow more more business from new customers

Great local hole in the wall with a delicious menu to savor any buds or for when everyone wants their own plate of choice. Variety, variety, variety. Their carnitas, salsas picosas and quesabirrias are 🤌🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽 so good! Portions are for the hungry.

The quesabirria was ok, not the asada tacos.
There prices are really high I order 3 pounds of carnitas and the lady was charging me 80 bucks and I ask how much is each pound she say $25 each pound that’s ridiculous so I told her I will only take 2 pounds instead and they give you poor amount of beans with that order there is a other carnitas michoacan on mt Vernon and there prices are cheaper with more beans and there carnitas are super good

Amazing food, sweet and humble people. My favorite place to eat with homemade tortillas, aguas frescas and their delicious crêpes!

Got a carne asada burrito, torta, and a grainy horchata. Torta was very plain, made with small roll not torta bread, and hardly any meat. Burrito meat has no flavor and is dry. Not appetizing and will not return.
