So I was craving a good sandwich for lunch but only seeing a Subway sign I decided that I would head over to Del Taco. Out of the corner of my eye I saw the sign for Empire Deli and I am so glad that I did. I got the Roast Beef sandwich on a roll. It was so good and fresh. They had lots of options. I can not wait to go back and try more from this place. It was very inexpensive for the quality of what they served. A very happy find for me. Give this place a try before they have a line wrapped around the parking lot. You will be glad you did.

It's a nice little shop the only think I tried was the cannolis it's 3 for 9 bucks made to order really good filling too bad I had to share with the kids lol .

Delicious sandwiches! I ordered the meatball sub and it was so good! The sauce tasted homemade and the meatballs were moist and very flavorful, the bread was seriously amazing! I highly recommend this place and can't wait to try their other sandwiches!

The sandwiches are amazing ! Always made very well and fresh ! The only downfall is the customer service. I understand it can be overwhelming during lunch hour but a good attitude and a smile are always pleasant to see instead you're greeted with being rushed to order, pay and told rudely to sit down.

The lady at the counter was the most rudest person behind a counter I have ever encountered, she was very unpleasant, unprofessional, and belittling. She cussed at us while leaving. She expected us to know what the sell but all we did was ask about there popular sandwiches. Never in my life have I experience such a bad experience in a restaurant.

Easily the best sandwich I've had in San Bernardino! I got the Italian and one whole sandwich was enough for two meals. Ingredients are fresh and bread meat cheese is all premium quality. The employees are quick and the menu is simple and couldn't be easier to understand. Get the cannolis!!!
This is the second time we've had sandwiches from this deli. both times they've exceeded our expectations. The first time I had the Italian, which I'm usually searching for this type of sandwich that is at least decent. I truly enjoyed the Italian. This time my wife and I both got the turkey bacon and avocado. It had fresh avocado and the bread is wonderful. I'm looking forward to trying more of their menu in the future.

The sandwiches here are fire! The pasta salad is delicious! The canolis are legit! It's good to find a great neighborhood deli that makes sandwiches the old school way! (We used to call 'em grinders!) The business owner is from New York so from time to time you might even get a little of that New York attitude from her giving this an authentic NY Deli vibe! Here's the secret to their success...the bread. I had my sandwich on the white French bread. The people from the large sangwich chains ( that's right I said it...sangwich...you know you want to call it that too!) need to take some notes! The bread at Empire Deli is not too hard but not too soft...the mouth-feel is perfect! A second secret to their winning formula is the meats...(I know it's like rocket science, right?! Who knew, good bread and good meats equal a great sandwich!) the meats are freshly sliced and delicious. When you bite into the sandwich you taste the quality of the ingredients and it's a different experience than grabbing a sangwich at subway or any of the other chains... I only have two complaints...one is sometimes they're not open when you expect. One time I made a special trip over there to grab a grinder and there was a handwritten sign on the door saying we're closed for the weekend. I watched 3 other people walk up to the door behind me excitedly expecting a great sandwich but one by one they walked away dejected despondent and frustrated...They are apparently a small family owned business so keeping that in mind you may want to call ahead before coming to the shop. My second complaint is I came once and they were sold out because they ran out of bread. I've been told this happens frequently. I have to admit my first thought that day was a little overly critical(... I was thinking to myself, 'you have one job'...! However when I remembered how delicious their food is and how much I appreciate them hanging in there and serving customers throughout the pandemic. I decided to cut him some slack. I mean it could happen to anyone. So ultimately after that my resolve was just call ahead. It solves both issues whether they're unexpectedly off or if they're running low on bread; if you place your order in advance they will reserve your bread for your sandwich so that when you're ready to pick it up it , it will be there. And let's not forget when you get that sandwich it'll be one of the best sandwiches that you've had in a long time. I love this place I look forward to coming back! My two favorite sandwiches that I've tried here are the turkey bacon and Avocado sub and the Italian special. I hope you'll give them a try.
