India's Clay Oven

I suspect a change of ownership which saddens me. India’s Clay Oven has been our favorite date night spot for the last few years due to our consistent 5-star experience but upon visiting today, the ambiance is completely different: no more dimmed, romantic lighting, different plating and cutlery, different textures and taste of our regular dishes, and missing the familiar faces of the family who usually runs the restaurant.
While we were not thoroughly disappointed by the experience we had, this does not seem to be the same experience that we’ve become accustomed with. Perhaps this is a fluke as we don’t typically visit on Wednesdays but we will now approach the idea of visiting again with hesitation because the difference in our experience was that notable.

Highly recommended, come here very often! Food is very delicious and customer service is great here!

Indias clay oven delivers a delicious dining experience that is both budget friendly and authentic. I got the Benghan Bharta with garlic naan and it was absolutely delicious. Definitely coming back.

Had dinner here tonight and it was such a wonderful experience.The food was delicious and full of flavor. Every dish tasted fresh and was made with so much care. I will definitely be coming back. Thank you again for the amazing service and great food

My first time eating Indian food I did the build your meal add lemon rice and it was very good and the service is exceptional nice Indian boy it was a pleasure to visit this restaurant and I'll definitely be going back

Everything was so delicious and the atmosphere was so peaceful and clean.

We went during the week at around 2 so the place was empty for the afternoon. The staff are great and if you have questions they were willing to awnser all of them with several walk-ins requesting togo orders. The food is delicious! I can't recommend them enough. Atmosphere pleasant and quiet. I love spice and level spicy was fine for me my husband prefers a medium level and he found his to be perfect. The star of the show was the Josh Rogan with the lamb, it was absolutely decidant and so tender it was phenomenal! Tika massala was great and good base you cant go wrong. Absolutely will be back when we visit this area again! Indian cuisine is my absolute favorite this place is great in all aspects. Thank you

3rd visit to clay oven and I absolutely love it I try to make a visit every month when I have time! the service is amazing and the food is even better!!! I believe the owner was our server this time he was very nice to us and very sweet to our daughter! 10/10 I would recommend anyone to eat here ! ❤️❤️

This family owned and ran restaurant is some of the best Indian food in the I.E. I have had some from almost every place in the area and either their customer service is atrocious or their food is lacking and naan is disappointing since it lack flavor when it comes to garlic and other spices.

But this place hits the mark on everything. I can tell you I’ve been to this place many times since I worked in close proximity to it and am sad that my job location changed and I have to go out of my way to get this food now buts it is worth the 45 minute drive.

TIP: the owner usually tells his chefs to ease up on the spice if a person tries to order something spicy… since some people realize they can’t handle the spicy level that THEY requested for and end up returning the food. So if you love spicy like me.. you’ll have to tell the waiter to let them know to actually make it to the spicy level you are requesting and you can handle it.. if you can’t handle spicy, just order medium spice or lower and if you go higher, don’t waste their time and money and send it back since you can’t handle it.

Customer service is amazing and they love law enforcement and military. Date night is an experience here and they try to make it special.

Best Naan in the area. No other Indian restaurant comes close to them in the area.

Food comes with rice! I’ve been to places where they tell you after the fact that it doesn’t. Majority of their items come with rice.

I could drop this down to a 4.7 rating because “nobody is perfect” but this place has become a nostalgic spot for me and truly an amazing set of people that work here. MUST TRY!
