Jovi's Diner is a quaint little retro 50's style diner in the center of a rather downtrodden downtown San Bernardino. The staff are very courteous and professional - service was good and they should be applauded for it. Running a diner is by no means an easy task. My wife and I were there to have breakfast before our customary Saturday morning WalMart run. My wife had scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, and pancakes while I had bacon, over medium eggs, hash browns and sourdough toast. The breakfast was decent enough except for the biscuits and gravy which I would avoid if I were you. You've been warned!

Great food and service! It doesn't feel like you're in San Bernardino, feels like you're in Kansas or out on the road and stopped in an old diner ?

Water has a really off taste and we tried three. Very chemically.Waitress asked us four times while taking our order to confirm we wanted corn tortillas and still gave us flour. Food is really bad too. Wouldn’t ever come here again especially with how many good diners there are

I found this restaurant on Google, and was not disappointed! My chile verde omelet was slathered with chile verde that had a nice kick to it, though not overwhelming. Other reviews are correct the their salsas are outstanding, very fresh and obviously homemade! Love how they serve the creamy refried beans in a small bowl made of a tortilla. Fun decor with a kitschy Route 66 theme, and great service too!

I've been here a couple times, and I plan to go back. On my most recent visit (Thursday, 1/11), I discovered that you can order a Chili Verde omelette and choose Biscuits and Gravy as a side... and being a So-Cal native with Southern roots, I naturally tried combining them in their warm flour tortillas (not handmade, I don't think, but still very high-quality).The result? *Legendary*: the Verde is actually surprisingly spicy, and benefits from the buttermilk notes of the gravy (which is a unique hybrid between white and brown, including delicious sausage-crumbles that punctuate the experience as little flavor-bombs, lol). The biscuits are exactly the consistency you want, being crispy on the outside and oh-so-malleably doughy at the core, which elevates the tortilla considerably in the mix.Every wall of the place is decorated with local kitsch (road-signs and posters galore, including easter-eggs for those who know San Bernardino well), and it pulls off the postmodern-'50s-diner vibe with aplomb, despite the slight uncertainty you might feel in terms of where to actually go when you're ready to pay the bill (pro-tip: just head to the register), and you definitely get the sense that it's a family-owned establishment that intends to be there for a long time, as I hope it does.Shout-out to the service, too - it wasn't particularly busy, but the kitchen and front-end staff worked extremely well together in order to provide for all the various needs going on (several folks at the bar, three booths (of which I was one), and a to-go order being taken care of in the corner) without any lapse in check-ins. I only finished half my drink, and when I asked for a to-go cup for the rest, she returned with a full cup of fresh soda, along with friendly conversation that made me feel like I'd been going there for years.tl;dr: Fantastic all-around diner, with humble prices and a vast selection of good-eats while being provided with the best service this side of Waterman Ave., lol - definitely recommend as a destination for both San Bernardino residents and anyone looking for a decent meal.Parking: It's on the NE corner of E St. and Rialto Ave., and it seems like it might be the only remaining business in the lot (as of this post), so it's hard to imagine parking being an issue here... all the more reason to try it, though, amirite?

Food was good but haven't ate there since they gave me moldy sourdough toast, everything else was good but that stuck in my mind the toast

This is mine and my boyfriend's favorite spot for Sunday breakfast! but they have much more than breakfast foods and a great variety of mexican choices. The service is always great, quick and friendly. It's also such a cute place!! 5/5 !!

I love this diner. I always have to stop in when I'm passing by. The food is absolutely delicious and the service is amazing. I'm the customer that always asks for sides and extras and their service always accommodates. Highly recommend.

This is a really cute diner. You can tell that someone really took their time designing the decor. It looks like a fifties style diner with red booths and old movie star posters everywhere. What's great is that the menu includes both American and Mexican food items, both for breakfast and lunch. They also serve breakfast and lunch all day. Their chicken fried steak and gravy was quite good, and so was the French toast. We also enjoyed the chilaquiles and taquitos. Our waitress was lovely and came to check on us often.
