I had my 43rd birthday dinner here.. the waitress was very nice, laughed and made jokes with everyone. The atmosphere was suitable, very spacious and comfortable. And my food was delicious very mouth watering. No complaints at all!! Will be returning!

This is an open concept Mexican joint with solid drinks and good deals on food. The tacos were good but a bit dry but I also tried the carnitas and they were really good. My friend got a steak lunch deal and still left hungry but this is still a very nice place

**A very strong 4.25.Greeted at the door by a friendly and welcoming waitress. The space had a bunch of great natural light with all the windows which I loved. It was also very clean. The salsa with the chips is delicious and has a really nice bite to it, more than other cantina style salsa around. Enchiladas are my go-to so I decided on the 'Enchiladas Michoacanas". It was on point, from the beans and rice through each enchilada itself. On top of that I give a few extra points for presentation. Great service. In and out without being pushed along. I'll be back.

I have gone here for a couple of years now and this place never lets me down!!! Everything has so much flavor, while it's not completely authentic I love that the flavor is still there. The staff was nice and attentive. I love that their booths and tables are big enough to where my meals aren't crowded. Can't wait for my next visit!

I went with a few of my lady friends for a nice Friday dinner out. Our server was Liz and we really loved her! She was bubbly and professional. She has a great attitude. Lalo's is cute inside, definitely busy but not too busy. We didn't have a res and we were seated right away. First we enjoyed the queso fundido as an appetizer along with happy hour margaritas (on Friday, happy hour flows to 7!). For entrees, my friends got the Steak Lalo and the Texas fajitas. The fajitas smelled so good! I got the shrimp and avocado salad.We feel like Lalo's is a good experience -- you're likely to be seated within a short period of time, the value per entree is great, and it'll be busy enough to keep you entertained. Would definitely go again!

My fiancé and I were pleasantly surprised with this restaurant! They serve chips and salsa with white sauce as well. We ordered a side of guacamole and it was delicious - strong lime flavor and we think either jalopeno or serrano peppers were included which added night heat but not too much. I ordered the Pollo Felix with no cheese sauce. Everything about the entree was great. My fiancé was disappointed with the chalupa (we thought it would come in a pita-like taco shell). Next time he'll try something different. Overall, we had a solid experience and will likely come back to try other dishes! I'd give it a 6.8/10

Stopped in for lunch with toddler and teenager after a visit at the Children's Museum. Lunch specials were great. Shrimp salad, quesadillas, and Polla Lalo Chicken and shrimp. They all were fresh and tasty. The atmosphere is great. Service was great! Family friendly as well! Highly recommend

Came in tonight and sat in Jenni's section and had an awesome dinner! She was sweet and attentive. Our drinks stayed full and she checked in the perfect amount and updated us when our drinks were taking a few minutes longer than expected. She was great!!

Yo dog, for me for you, this is just a'ight. Bizarre choices abound - a simple hard taco is like a unflavored hamburger in a hard shell topped with arugula. How about enough giant chunks of jalapeños in your guacamole dip to choke a mule? It's my second time and I have to say I wantedThis place to work because I still haven't found decent Tex mex in Richmond. But this place trying too hard dressing up simple dishes with all the wrong accents. It's like a guy who's desperately in the friend zone helping his crush move apartments - I just don't feel that way about you Lalo. We're just going to be friends with no benefits. I like the salsa and the ingredients are quality. The service is ok but not super attentive. The restaurant is reasonably clean and it has a big bar area. It's sort of dead on a Friday night, if that's an indication of anything.
This has to be the worst experience I've ever had in Richmond the bartenders are on their phones not paying attention to patrons that are wanting to have a drink or food we had to have the manager wait on us because the bartenders are too busy doing whatever they want to do this place is the worst place in Richmond I live in Scott's addition I will never come back to this place ever again they are terrible they don't care please please save your money go somewhere else. Look them up in the past they've already had issues before please whatever you do go somewhere else for a better experience and don't waste your money on people that don't care. I will never waste my money in this basic Mexican restaurant again go to en su boca for people who treat customers with respect.Never had service like this living I. Scotts addition glad they are on the out skirts. Terrible bartenders terrible service they have been tagged before for treating customers bad I see that still happens. If you like to spend your money on trash service mediocre food then please by all means eat here. Worst place adjacent to Scott's addition. Went here for lunch. Solid food, but nothing really remarkable. Very good service but never got a chip or salsa refill. Portions for lunch were adequate, but seemed a bit pricey. Nice presentation of food. Thanks would go again.

Food is delicious. Kid portions too small though. My child is 8 and still hungry. No chip refills, or at least we didn't get any. We had 4 regular entrees and 2 kid meals. All entrees were delicious, portions not large, don't plan on sharing. Server was not very knowledgeable about menu. She was also very, very slow. But sweet. We are taking off one star for mediocre service and the excessively small child portions.
