We went to Big Bear but we didn't go up much anymore due to so much fog and on the way back we went to that taqueria with the agaves, the tacos were very delicious and we even thought about returning even though it is far away, it is recommended in San

You know what they say; The hole on the wall places are always the BEST. This place is definitely not appealing from the outside due to location, however once you walk inside it’s a completely different atmosphere (modern, music and clean). We were a party of 12 and had 12 different dishes, everyone walked out, saying how great the food was, authentic Mexican food indeed!

I’ve been to Taqueria los Agaves three times, and I will not be returning again due to an unsatisfactory experience with my last order and the subsequent interaction with the owner. During my latest visit, I ordered the three tacos combo, which I had previously found to be fairly priced and enjoyable. However, this time, the al pastor and chorizo tacos were extremely salty to the point of being inedible. I reached out to the restaurant and was told to return the next day for a replacement order.Upon my return, I was met with a disappointing response. The staff, under the owner's direction, offered only one replacement taco (out of six because I had two orders of the same thing) and insisted that I should have brought back the original tacos for them to taste, a request that was not only impractical but also unsanitary. It's unreasonable to expect a customer to drive back with food they've taken home, potentially exposing it to various contaminants. The owner’s demeanor during our interaction was also concerning. He implied that the lower cost of the tacos somehow justified their poor quality, disregarding the fundamental expectation of edible food, regardless of price. His lack of professionalism and understanding in handling legitimate customer complaints has led me to decide against patronizing Taqueria los Agaves in the future. It's regrettable, as I had hoped to continue supporting their business, but the combination of poor food quality and inadequate customer service makes it impossible for me to recommend this restaurant.

I've visited Taqueria los Agaves three times, but after my latest experience, I've decided it will be my last. The three tacos combo, previously a reliable choice, was a letdown this time with the al pastor and chorizo tacos being excessively salty. When I reached out about this issue, they offered a replacement on my next visit. However, the follow-up visit brought its own set of problems. They presented only one taco as a replacement, and unexpectedly, they asked me to bring back the original ones. This was not just inconvenient, but also raised hygienic concerns. It's unreasonable and unsanitary for a restaurant to ask a customer to return food they've already taken home. Moreover, the owner's attitude was particularly troubling. He directly stated that the lower price of these tacos meant it was acceptable for them to be of inferior quality. This outright declaration disregards the basic expectation that all food served, regardless of its price, should be edible. His blunt and sarcastic manner in responding to my valid concerns only exacerbated the situation. It's disappointing, as I had intentions of continuing my patronage, but the poor quality of the food combined with the owner's discourteous and unprofessional behavior makes it impossible for me to recommend Taqueria los Agaves.

Food was bomb, tacos de al pastor hit the soul. Horchata was bussing. Waiter was fast and nice. 10/10 would recommend

I order here for there Birria burritos and tacos. The meat was oerfectly tender and juicy with a really savory flavor on its own, but when paired with the consomme, it elevates the flavor to above perfection. Definitely my go-to place to head out if I'm needing a authentic mexican

The molcajete was good, although I wanted more cheese. Very flavorful broth/sauce. Partner said the coctel de camarón was on point. The salsa was really salty. Could not enjoy it.They had a DJ and singing which contributed nicely to the atmosphere.(And not one fly in sight.)Although, weird smells, possibly plumbing issues??
