Meats are ok the brisket is the best. Ribs a little dry.. the sides though where not good when I came in my opinion potato salads was smashed potato salad n not good. Mac n cheese is best option..Prices are high but I understand everything is up no a day.

1st off this was my 1st visit today... My roommate raved about them last night and how he was rushing on the freeway to catch them before they close. Ok sounds good to me.. So i order online thru google maps.. Im expecting my order to be ready once i arrive, it said 15 mins.. Perfect for a quik drive. Once i arrive, i tell the person im picking up for my name.. He then wanted an, I dont carry my ID anywhere, he was like its on instagram we ask for ID to which he lied, i tell him i dont follow yall on instagram i found yall on google maps.. His overall attitutde was poor, and he only said they ask for ID for online orders after i said ill leave a nice review about this place. The tall Latino im guessing who was cashier had a very poor attitude, poor customer service, not mention he got my order wrong. I ordered rib tips and macaroni with 2 cornbreads.. I got cold brisket and macaroni and ZERO cornbread.I can guarantee they dont ask a door dasher for their ID to pick up a mobil order, so its strange how i was pressed to provide one for my order

This is definitely my favorite place to have traditional BBQ in California. You can feel the vibe and the personal makes you feel like home. No joke flavor! Tenderness and look, this place serves amazing food. Prime Beef Ribs are my favorite but the Brisket damn crazy as well. I brought my buddies and enjoyed it as well. There’s so many great things about this place, I don’t know where to begin. I’ll start with the customer service, which is one of the reasons I always come back here. Every time I e been here even if there busy they always have good energy, which I think is important when serving someone their food. Ulises and Rosie always have the best attitudes. When it comes to their food, it’s hands down the best in the area. I feel most BBQ spot don’t put much thought into their side but Spirit of Texas has amazing sides!! My go to is the Mac and cheese, baked beans and the potato salad. They also have the best banana pudding I’ve ever had. Their BBQ is second to none. My go to is the brisket sandwich. Whenever I get a craving for a burger I just go get a brisket sandwich. They also just opened a new spot in the same building named Dino the Mexican Texan. I came here today to show my support and got a breakfast burrito. Man, this is one of the best breakfast burritos I’ve ever had. I come here at least twice a month for the food and the service. Also, they have great quality of prime meets. They’re definitely not buying bulk meat at Costco lol. I highly recommend both of their restaurants!!!

I'm giving it one star only because I truly don't care for sweet BBQ sauce, and even the soda is extremely sweet. I'm from Alabama. I don't make anything sweet but sweet sun tea. I hate sugar in my grits. The meat is good with a decent smoke taste. However, they do leave on a lot of fat. Everyone does it their own way. I guess this is Texas Way. The people who work here are amazing and friendly and the place is very clean. Go check it out. It's a good place. It's not my sweet cup of tea(smiling). God bless you all.? I've reconsidered my 1 star, 5 stars. Because, that's my opinion. Lots of people now days have different opinions. I give this place a 5 stars. ?✌️
