A great place to have Japanese food. I’ve been coming here for over 30 years. The people here have been consistent, the food has constantly delicious and any time I am visiting my home town here this is the Japanese restaurant I go to. The staff has always been welcoming and all the selection of food have been outstanding. The restaurant is located near El Camino and San Bruno Ave near the UPS store and UFC gym. I recommend the Beef Terriaki and shirimp tempura dish. They give you good portions and be prepared to get full. Highly Recommended!

Salad dressing was greasy and inedible. Sushi was mostly misshapen. It’s cheap by Bay Area standards, but still not worth it.

The place settings seems cute although they have a not so small space. The staffs were nice and friendly. The foods were good. My family and I liked them.

This place is a hidden them for local good eats. I’ve been coming here for a long time with my family.
Always great service and food I usually get the combination and take home 1/2 for another meal. Solid price value for bento boxes. My fave it the teriyaki chicken which is chargrilled with their perfectly balance sauce.

If there’s a zero rating they deserve it. The server was standing in the corner looking out like a spaced out zombie. We were the only customer there and it was a weeknight around 7:15. Not peak time. Never once did he check up on us. If I had my way I would’ve given him 50 cents to send him a message. He ruined the whole dining experience. The carpets are dirty and the restroom is disgusting, smells and is tiny. I had to squeeze my 110 lbs body to the side just to close the door. The shrimps were only 2 of them and were overly breaded. The teriyaki was skimpy, can’t even feed a bird it was so little. We used to love this place, good value but it went downhill since we haven’t been here for 8 years. At Kitaro in SF they give 5 shrimps and they aren’t over breaded. This place is cutting corners giving you tiny shrimps and masking it with the breading fooling you into thinking they’re large shrimps. The teriyaki at Kitaro was enormous. My friend saw my post and was blown away by how much they gave. She said she never saw that much beef on a plate (she didn’t know what it was). Won’t be returning and we save GAS notbhaving to drive 15 miles one way to the Peninsula. Boy, what a ripoff place!!! That server needs to be fired! He wears glasses and is caucasian, he's in his 30’s. He should not be in the hospitality industry. He’d make a good clerk, as long as he’s not dealing with the public. . She also had a bad experience at Akagi. She asked the server NOT to burn the chicken. What did he do? He served the chicken burnt. He should've made that notation to the cook. I advised her not to go there again. I read Yelp reviews. A lot of customers' comments were like mine.

Went first time sushi was great. Only got 1 sushi rolls. 2nd time I went I got old hamachi tasted terrible. Which is bad I was just trying it out. I went to spiral sushi all the time, it's closed now.I'm an airport driver, so I go to Spiral and ocean palace Alot. Sad they would put really bad smelling hamachi on a Togo order. Like I'll save the good stuff for the dining room clients. Bad choice. You could have had a regular. It looked bad to. So the chef would have had to be blind with no ability to smell on this one. I live 90 mins away so no bringing it back

Big order done in a short amount of time right after opening and the dinner rush. Always great food, service and friendly staff.

Nice little hole-in-the-wall restaurant. Good food, good service, good prices.
It's a good local Japanese restaurant. No frills, just good comfort food. The service was spotty, and I had to ask multiple times for our drinks. One server had a permanent scowl on her face. PRO TIP, - get the specials.
Nice. Just enough Japanese decor.
Food is good.
I’ve been over at this place for years and they always keep a good quality and fresh food, we always order sushi rolls.
We've been going for years, since teenager years. A long established local favorite. The restaurant has changed a bit as expected but still is a relatively good value. On weeknights, usually there's no more waiting an hour plus outside after writing your name on the wait list, so maybe that's a good thing for hungry customers.
